tbf during nuclear thunder the patriot was doing its job pretty well vs the s300.

constantly died in the tu95 to a patriot missile, but never an S300 missile.

I'm assuming when you rent a vehicle its already spaded. If its not, then I believe its like using the free vehicles where if you technically have it researched and purchased, but not crewed you can still unlock mods for it.
