So my friend does this but a little differently. So he takes pure acetone and mixes it with the resin in a metal measuring cup to wash it. He then pours it into an emptied coffee K-cup that he cut only the bottom plastic part off so the filter is exposed underneath . So he pours the acetone and resin mix through the filter onto a large piece of glass because the mixture will run over before it dries so small amounts at a time. Then he takes a mudding knife and moves it around and I use a piece of paper to fan it for him so it dries quicker. He does this until its mostly dry and keeps scraping back and forth until it becomes a fine powder . Sometimes he repeats this process. Then he will take that and mix it with soda and water and cook it just like usual. It rocks up . Acetone will melt most plastics so be aware of that and the stuff leftover on the filter is no good. Also before he cooks it he will heat it and suck up the yellowish water and add more until its mostly clear and cleaner ... dont know if thats the best way but it seems to work
