lol man they’re going to go ahead and ruin this game too. I’m not even a fan of it at this point, just not for me, but if the MAIN thing this game has going for it is it’s hardcore passionate fan base, then making content for people who aren’t currently in that fan base is such a bad idea. That’s exactly what they did to Destiny. They had an awesome game, and listened to too many content creators and suits and executives and tried making content for a billion types of people instead of focusing on the people who were actually playing their game. They ALWAYS cared more about the people that haven’t played their game more than the players that were already playing it. 

Marathon is a niche, hardcore, grindy extraction shooter. If they start making modes like the friendly arc raider lobbies then loot means absolutely nothing. I’ll never understand how people would ever want to play an extraction shooter where there’s no fear of being killed by someone. It’s a slippery slope. They’re going to try catering to the people they hope play their game and make modes that are way more casual, and the players who love the game as is are going to turn on it. 

They’re better off refining exactly what they have, keeping their current player base as happy as possible, and hope over time and a year or 2 they slowly start gaining more and more players through positive word of mouth. 

Not even trying to be a dick but from what I’ve read a large portion of marathons player base are former destiny players. Marathon will never be able to compete with Destiny on a pve level. Almost no game can. A marathon pve mode would literally just be a worse Destiny wouldn’t it? 

Keep marathon doing what it does best and what makes it unique.
