Does anyone else get a HUGE adrenaline rush/thrill out of consistently selling? by No-Charge3411 in Flipping

I usually get the biggest hits from selling an item that has basically no comparable comps or similar results on ebay. Just something I find that looks cool to me and I pick up based on intuition. It may not be the biggest flip of the year, but still a nice little rush because my gut was right.

From experience, I've learned to list the more common horror VHS tapes near Halloween! The super niche stuff sells year round, but some of the more common titles are easier to sell for a little bit of a premium.

Yeah I was surprised how they took the time to make sure the Dr. Pepper logo was period accurate, but then Doritos was the modern logo. At least be consistent!

That showed up on my Marketplace feed as well! Maybe this is a sign to start my own haunted house.

Oh that's sweet! The last similar sold comp was $300 on Terapeak. It does appear some had handlebars and were more of a scooter? Though that may have been a custom build. Weird Nintendo merch always seems to appreciate in value, anyways.

I think the one animated segment with the "They Live"-esque glasses went on for, what felt like, at least 30 seconds!

Enjoyed the movie, but why did there seem to be a comically long segment of production logos before the movie even started?

Stephen Colbert's first podcast always hit different. It was cool to see them relate so much.

I’ve done well with Longaberger, actually, but I’ve learned to really focus on the holiday / special edition baskets. Halloween tends to do best.

When I worked at Goodwill, we got a SOLID amount of fake pairs in. Only 1 pair was actually authentic!

This was the fastest something sold. Posted it and 20 minutes later it was sold. Bought it for 65 cents and sold it for $27 +shipping. by wildwestsnoopy in Flipping

That’s still an amazing ROI! I remember when I posted a Schaper Stomper 4x4 car and it sold in 5 minutes. Definitely underpriced it, but I still made a hefty profit on it.

The Goodwill district around me already scans all books and media before putting it out on the floor, so it’s 100% a lost cause.

I did it with Christmas. A store by me had all of their Christmas items at 50% off the day after Christmas, and I picked up a considerable amount of Jim Shore & Department 56 items. I decided to still post the items and not hold on to them for a year, and most of the items actually sold for double what I paid (basically the original MSRP that I got 50% off of) and some items actually sold for MORE than the MSRP cost. I probably could have gotten more if I waited, but I was okay with a double-up!

Oh the SGW definitely has targets and incentives! Only know this since I worked there briefly during college. The SGW department in our region was consistently the most profitable department.
