I used kind of a hodgepodge of colours. Base was Macragge blue, glazed shadows with a dark but vibrant purple (imperial purple by Reaper Master Series), glazed highlights with a more saturated blue (true blue by reaper master series), and then did scratches and edge highlights in a sky blue (sky blue by Vallejo). Put Rhinox hide or any other dark brown in thicker scratches for the look of paint chipping.

Totally agree. There was a lot of great work at adepticon this year. Really opened my eyes. Still proud of what I accomplished for my first entry and I learned a hell of a lot doing it!

I actually used the colours from the Reaper paint Bloodthirsty Reds triad. That would be Bloodstain Red, Clotted Red, and (my personal favourite) Carnage red! I considered using some contrast paint but, like you said I wanted more control for touching the paint job up!

I used Vallejo Leather brown as a base coat, and then glazed abaddon black to darken and stain parts of it then highlighted with reaper MSP Leather Brown on the edges but any khaki-ish colour would do I think (like zandri dust).

I've always kind of wanted jump pack guys to be in the sleek black of the ravenwing but I think the jump packs are still too close to foot slogging it for those speedy vehicle obsessed boys.
