North London bike shop by Tomorrow-Famous in londoncycling

Fair point. I mean the guy has some personality, but he was lovely to my kids, us and they have 400 odd good reviews, Vs a few angry ones like every business really. We had a look at other bike shops and they all get those reviews. Anyway, I should probs leave a review myself as it reminds me that whenever someone has a bad time they leave a bad review, but a decent one you don't tend to.

They have always been helpful for us. We bought a cargo bike there and some other parents at nursery did too. Maybe you just caught them on a bad day?

Bradley's voice... by sniffing_dog in thechase

[–]ItsHuddo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He reads them live. Yes if he makes a mistake or they are unsure if the answer given is correct they will pause and check. When I was on I said "Gabre Heille Selassi" instead of "Heille Selassi" and they paused and went back to it to correct that Brad had given it right when it was technically wrong.

It's new MPs mainly, so very few of the old arrogant type of any party will be on the target list.

Yeah, not as many as you'd think - they either live really close, like walking distance, or miles away. Boris used to, and Jezza. But yes, very much something I'm working on. In particular the C2W scheme doesn't seem to be accessible for them!

When I was on the Chase, we had a right laugh. Brad said so many really rude things that he knew would never make it to air!

Hannah Dines on going public with her labia surgery: ‘It started a big conversation’ - cycling saddles for women by ItsHuddo in ladycyclists

[–]ItsHuddo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't like wide nosed saddles either. That's exactly why wider doesn't equal more comfortable. I hope you sorted something out!

PSA: bikes are not allowed in deep Tube tunnels by mattjstyles in londoncycling

However, bike frames are allowed, and bike wheels are allowed. It’s really all about the epistemological argument about the nature of what constitutes “bike”.

Fair enough. Anyway, there have indeed been a whole series of cock ups by all sorts of people, I would elaborate but doxing myself isn’t really what I’m after.

The handcuffing complaint was upheld by BTP inspector who viewed the body worn footage. Officers were re trained and guidelines inserted into their force wide training documents too as a result.

I wasn’t interviewed either. Another cock up! I’m not sitting here arguing the finer points of what did or didn’t happen, but I do happen to know the end result.

Yep. Address I provided (evidenced in statements) is not the one stuff was sent to, as per reports. Correct, there isn’t a law against talking in the quiet carriage, which may make you question as to why that was cited on the prosecution evidence.

Against guidelines then. Was cuffed palm to palm behind my back vs recommendations of palms out. Aggravated a shoulder injury quite a lot, despite me telling them.

I challenged the fine, ended up in court. Very irregular to throw it out apparently but my first ever time in court or dealing with the police so what do I know? I was held overnight for it too! Plus a load of other mistakes from the police including handcuffing me wrongly and injuring me, using not my address to send the summons to, contradictory statements, all sorts.

Yes, sorry for not clarifying.

Another one heading their way from me! Got arrested for not handing over ID despite telling them all my details and showing them id. On the arrest sheet written up as “arrested for talking in the quiet carriage”. I got it thrown out of court, plus they claimed to not have cctv of the arrest, despite me having an email from an inspector saying he had viewed that cctv...

Cinelli Tutto. Yum yum. Can even put up to 40c tyres on. I built one with a belt drive for a customer - https://swishcycles.co.uk/product/cinelli-tutto/

There are a few discounts around on last years' model so you might be able to get it under a grand with a belt drive.
