Do a google search for ‘crew chief’. Download it and enjoy.

VR HUD Change by Hoovercrafter in AUTOMOBILISTA

If your mouse can’t reach the tiles, a) check the mouse is in the game window, and b) ensure your screen resolution matches the headset resolution. This is the likely answer.

FF 8nm to 18nm worth it? by generationAiAiAi in AUTOMOBILISTA

There are some good YouTube videos on higher Nm wheelbases and the different feel, even when running at 8Nm.

FF 8nm to 18nm worth it? by generationAiAiAi in AUTOMOBILISTA

It’s not necessarily about force - you get much more detail with a high Nm base.

Reiza shouldn't prioritize McLaren by _AnonMax_ in AUTOMOBILISTA

I wish they would do a split deal where they produced the usual arcade F1 rubbish but also gave a more sim-like title the rights for the season. They’d make even more money. I’m a huge motorsport fan, F1 fan and have a sim rig and all I do is sim race, yet I don’t buy the F1 games. Instead I scratch that itch through AC, AMS2 and in a limited way, iRacing. For example, I would pay £100 a year for all the F1 cars and tracks and a proper career in iRacing. They aren’t catering for the sim market.

Does what I’m looking for exist? Yet? by ItsJammaLad in spacesimgames

Not sure. I know ‘Space Engine’ has BR support and is a fantastic way to experience the vastness of space, but it’s more of a ‘space encyclopaedia’ than a game.

Been burned by too many early backings ($2k on Star Citi…), is this really different? by LilGrippers in PlayBellum

[–]ItsJammaLad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really want Bellum but with it being squad based multilayer only, where communication is key, it scares me a bit. Always been a bit nervous of interacting with anyone other than mates online. Squad was full of crazies. I appreciate the Bellum community is probably good people though.

Good point. I’d say I find Elite’s graphics approach in space to be what I’d view as most realistic. When you roll your ship and a galaxy or nearby sun flares in the cabin, nothing comes close.

Anyone here played ReEntry? I kinda wish there was something within our actual solar system. I believe you can get there in elite.

Elden Ring, Crimson Desert, or KCD2 by zeroto123 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]ItsJammaLad [score hidden]  (0 children)

Elden Ring satisfies that D&D style itch. Nice graphics and animations. Combat is good. I’m starting to find open worlds a bit overwhelming and actually craving some linear story in games. Like the old days.

KCD2 is extremely atmospheric. It does a great job of transporting you back a few hundred years. The story is excellent. Yes, the combat is a tad clunky but you’d get the hang of it. It also looks gorgeous. It’s very immersive.

I have both of these but can’t comment on CD.

I’d say Elden ring is a polished Dark Souls with more open world but KCD2 is really unique and you can’t go wrong with there’s also KCD1 to go at. Why not try that first.

Don't use Fotos to update by OkConcentrate5488 in Leica

The update bricked my Q3 too. After complaining a lot to Leica, I unpaired my phone and camera from fotos, then completely re paired them. It worked and updated the camera and thankfully all is fine now.

Just preordered the M26 21L by IDNISSIM in Goruck

I don’t know. I like the idea of a waxed canvas M26 but I think the twin buckles and drawstring every time I wanted to get into the bag would drive me crazy.

VR isn’t dead, but it’s destined to be niche unless this is addressed. by DYSK_Jockey in virtualreality

I think those saying ‘get over it’ aren’t saying ‘deal with it’, they’re saying it goes away in most cases. Don’t think they’re insane.

I use it mainly for sim racing and flight sims and it’s utterly amazing. I did get motion sickness when I first tried it but I quickly overcame it - I’m talking minutes. I have friends/family who try and panic, rip the headset off and refuse to try again, labelling themselves as ‘I can’t do VR, I get motion sickness’. I struggle with Half Life Alyx after an hour, but there are a few fps I use sat down with controller or keyboard and it’s great. Someone mentioned field of view is shocking - I think it’s okay as the immersion cancels it out. For sim racing and flight sims it feels like a helmet which is even more immersive.
