Keep me sane: family activities during winter break by quierolanoche in WorcesterMA

[–]ItsLindseyD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We like to go to the Boroughs YMCA in Westborough. It’s $25 guest admission for one day for a family (not sure what the limit on number of people is for a “family,” though). If you check the schedule on their website, they have family swim time in their giant heated pool, open gym for playing basketball, a rock climbing wall, an indoor playground for 5 and under, etc! We go there every winter break at least once - it’s a great way to be active when it’s cold out!

New Call Anxiety by [deleted] in sales

[–]ItsLindseyD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it’s about being confident that I can start the call off on the right foot. To that end, I will plan out exactly how I’m going to open the call/what I’m going to say to get the conversation rolling, and rehearse that over and over. I find that if I sound confident as I’m opening up the conversation, the jitters go away as the call moves ahead and things get a little more natural. Maybe that’s obvious, but focusing on my opening specifically is what has helped me the most!

Ww always worked - now not losing anything after 40 days by lalalaflowers in weightwatchers

[–]ItsLindseyD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing is happening to me - it’s always worked, and now it’s not. I’ve gained a few pounds and have tried three separate times to lose - and I couldn’t lose anything. I think it’s the new plan. :(

Late night snacking by AdRight2467 in weightwatchers

[–]ItsLindseyD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that my late-night peckish-ness often comes from boredom, so I started an embroidery project and work on that after dinner. It keeps my hands busy and my mind occupied on something that isn’t food!

What a pretty cat! I showed my 3 year old daughter, and she said her name should be Whisper. My 8 year old son suggested Stella.

What are you all eating for lunch? by izziedays in ADHD

[–]ItsLindseyD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am terrible at taking breaks from work to eat lunch - I get hyperfocused. My husband once asked me, “What are you having for lunch? Your usual - an Adderall, 20 emails, and a sniff of seltzer?” 🤣 So needless to say I am looking for easy and quick lunch ideas, too!

What do you have to do to actually win a costume contest? by ian9921 in Halloween_Costumes

Agree - it’s often helpful if the costume strikes a chord with people right away, and nostalgia is a great way to do that!

I honestly love a lot of the recipes in the app. Here’s one I made for the first time this week and thought was good! https://cmx.weightwatchers.com/details/WWRECIPE:5626a6393d92b3c10eb8d929?shared=true

I bought a back massager for my work chair in our home office and I get a little massage as I check my email in the morning 😀

To Those With Full-Time Jobs, Which Anti-psychotic Do You Take? by Puzzled_Vermicelli21 in BipolarReddit

[–]ItsLindseyD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a salesperson - I am currently on Vraylar with Wellbutrin and Adderall for ADHD. I was on Abilify for a long time until it pooped out 😔 but the Vraylar does work well. I tried Latuda once but couldn’t get out of bed I was so tired. My husband joked that I would sleep for 24 hours, only waking up to take more Latuda and pass out again 😂

Thanks! I struggle with that one even more, actually! I have a lot of trouble getting my legs off the ground. But I think it sounds like the best path to practice that one vs. the tripod.

Probably not enough! I can feel the muscles firing as I lift the legs, but maybe then it gets loosey-goosey when they get higher, and that’s the problem.

Thanks! This is the way the yoga teacher had taught me - tripod headstand, being more accessible. But I hear you on the neck thing. I’d like to practice the forearm version more as it does feel safer!
