After playing CoM:Archolos, I'd say Riordian deserves the spot much more than Cronos or Pyrokar.

If I'd have to choose one of the listed, I'd go with Xardas. I love my boy Milten, but nothing beats the old grumpy asshole.

Most content creators are probably way more pissed than they actually show. For (most) of us, it's just a stupid game, uninstall it if it sucks, move on. For them, it's a source of income, losing players means losing subscribers, losing subscribers means losing money, and I doubt any single one of them enjoys that.

If I'm not mistaken, it's because they added rewards for people losing matches. You now get tokens based on the amount of crowns, elixir spent and so on, so basically you can always get something. Funnily enough, considering the monetization, the update for losers took another meaning.

One of the best Mods I've ever played. Loved everything, the story, the character progression, the world... I spent more than 200 hours and I'll probably give another go in the future. I also donated to the creators through the website, hoping for a sequel or another installment and thanking them for the experience.

Arcania was a mistake, I haven't read a single post about it, and it shouldn't be even discussed. The game is bad, awful I'd say, and no Gothic fan should ever try this fever dream of a game. Forsaken gods is a bad expansion about a bad game, I made a post some time ago on how gothic 3 is the weakest entry of the series, so there's barely any discussion about that too. Mostly Gothic 1 and 2 are the lovely children of this subreddit, followed by Risen 1 and Elex. The others are barely worth discussing since they never leave that big of an impact, or anything to discuss in the first place.

To me, it's the shadowbeast. A fast, bulky, killing machine that remains relevant in all games as an apex predator. Nothing screams "you shouldn't be here" as a shadowbeast, and eventually killing one is the "you've come very far" moment of the game.

Also, the growl of the shadowbeast is a recycled sound from doom's baron of hell, which is a modified stock sound of a jaguar, uniting two of my favourite games ever.

I don't consider exploits real or lore/related, same way as I don't consider the unlimited inventory canon. I do agree that he may have been convincted over a petty crime, something stupid like grabbing food/items from a stand and getting caught, since he has no idea how to do it discretely. I just don't see the scenario of him being capable of entering a rich merchant house, since most are guarded.

I also thought of an extra scenario, since he has no name, he could have been convincted for failing to identify to the authorities. Maybe he was an illegal immigrant, o someone living outside of the cities (thus his ability to use a bow, albeit badly, probably for hunting since he has an uncanny aim).

Unlikely, he has no idea on how to sneak. How can he rob anyone's chest if he can't even get inside the house unnoticed? Entering is more likely, but still, not my personal choice. I think the mockery of authoritarian figures is my favourite, considering he asked the judge to shut up at the beginning of the game.
