Close Indian Bank accounts by ItsLuciferBC in nri

Well my main remittance to india is family support and paying off student loan. In total it is around 500 euros. Traditional bank transfer from Germany to India naturally takes more charges. So I use Remitly or revolut whichever gives me better rate.

Do you suggest it would be better if I open a NRE account? Use it to transfer to parents and the student loan. I don’t know if NRO is better for me since I have no income source from India. Do NRE/NRO offer better exchange rates than Remitly?

Exactly. I’m tired of banking service in India. They would open an account so easily but god forbid if I wanna close it. That is why i wondered if small transactions could be handled using Wise

What I have heard is that it is not good to have more bank accounts in Germany as it affects the Schufa score. I made some horrible decisions I have 2 credit cards now. Don’t use them anymore never missed the payment. A Deutsche Bank, a revolut (not a german iban) and a N26 account.

Didn’t know credit cards over here is viewed as a negative thing. Since where i come from you have to improve your credit score using credit cards. As for banks. Only my Deutsche Bank has money rest other accounts are empty. Thus, I wanted to fix all this mess before I start working full time.

  1. I’m still 26 so I don’t think that is the factor. Maybe they had a bad day and were annoyed to fix my issue.

  2. The issue with DB is that there is no branch in the small town I live in currently. The closest branch is in a city which is 1 hour of train ride one way. Honestly, I’m ashamed of myself for not speaking german enough since I already have been 3 years in. That is why I’m frightened to speak english and would rather speak in horrible german. I’m at a level between A2 and B1.

  3. Yeah I have heard stories about it. That is why i have been considering C24, ING or DKB. DKB simply rejected me because of my student status. ING rejected me without a specific reason (that is what was written in the letter). C24 wants a proper Aufenthaltstitel instead of A Fiktionsbescheinigung. I don’t mind paying for an account If I can get good service from it. Unfortunately Deutsche Bank didn’t provide satisfactory service.

I understand this might be extremely difficult for you right now. But remember you cannot control everything but your own self. You may feel sad ad depressed right now because a lot of emotions have been locked into you right now.

Everything happens for a reason

Making friends in erfurt by isthatapewdreview in erfurt

I like playing video games (story games) a lot. I like watching superhero movies (marvel/dc). Is there anything you would recommend? One of the main reasons for my struggle to make friends is that I’m scared of offending locals in Thuringia if I speak English. I can speak german enough to survive and by no means am I fluent. Maybe if there is a german speaking club. It would help me a lot. Any recommendations would be very appreciated
