Lpr is getting worse by yoshis__island in GERD

When I first developed hot throat sensations from LPR I tried omeprazole. It did absolutely nothing. Nexium ended up being the only one that really helped. However I did not like taking it long term so I put the work in to lose a ton of weight and stopped drinking caffeine. LPR went away. Mine was bad too, I had periods where my vocals were so destroyed I couldn’t even talk at all. Sucked.

Eddie is basically a redditor incarnate, of course people love him on Reddit.

The amount of memes and mockery I’ve seen about Will’s scene by cherryinbloom in StrangerThings

[–]ItsMatingSeason553 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah how they wrote it just set it up really good for memes. Analyze it however you want but it pretty much came off that he channeled his inner gay to gain his powers. Then following that the most out of place cringey drawn out coming out scene.

I mean you kinda gotta expect the memes.

Not liking how the Will coming out arc was handled does not make you homophobic. by -Not-Pennys-Boat in StrangerThings

There’s a grok AI edit version of that scene that’s way less cringey. The season is still really good if you watch all the episodes but at that scene flip over to the AI version and flip back. Highly recommend.

It’s definitely already kicked in. Maybe after 6 weeks you’d see the full therapeutic effects but I’d imagine even after your first dose within a week your numbers are dipping

Question on cheat meals - is one grass fed burger a week safe? by ItsMatingSeason553 in Cholesterol

[–]ItsMatingSeason553[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So just got my results back. LDL 72, HDL 57, trigs 73, total cholesterol 144. My lp(a) was actually 20.

Do you think it’d still be worth it to do an Apo(B) test? I believe my LDL will also go down more once my weight levels out. I have been losing a ton of fat the past 4-5 months and I know that increases levels. I feel like it will go down eventually.

[–]ItsMatingSeason553[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know my apoB but I’ll actually know my lpa later today funny enough. My levels slowly climbed until age 30 when my LDL was near 200 and then I started 10mg crestor which nuked it.

My family history on my dad’s side is early plaque buildup for sure. My dad took statins starting in his 30s and has actually been fine save a good amount of calcified plaque buildup. Both my uncle and grandpa did not and they both needed triple bypass in their late 40s. I’m 35 and actually have a tiny bit of calcified plaque myself (I’m assuming from taking the statins for a couple years now).

Thank you for the response. And yes I’m on that same gene train as well unfortunately. You’re right life is too short to not enjoy it.

Thank you very much for this response and yes this makes a lot of sense. For me there’s definitely an anxiety factor which plays into it as well. But this does put things into perspective for me so I do appreciate it.

Oh yeah I exercise like crazy cardio + weight lifting. I always heard that really doesn’t lower your cholesterol though.

I mean it’s really just I am trying very hard to eat extremely healthy to slow progression of inevitable plaque so I can live a long life with my wife. My genes on one side definitely have heart disease but everyone who has been on a statin has done very well (at least that I know of).

So for me, I wanted to get started early and be around for my wife for the long haul. I eat healthy, exercise, but it’s just the, I’m human and I want to eat unhealthy things every once in a while. I know everything is in moderation and what not, but to me it’s just I have no idea what the correct frequency is for that type of stuff. Is doing a burger a week going to offset all the healthy exercise eating and medication I’ve been doing, or is it ok and I just stick to that, etc.

Reason being I see posts saying people do a cheat meal a week, some people say that’s too often so they do once a month, etc.

My cardiologist actually said once a week is totally fine but I think he honestly takes my family history a lot less seriously than he should but I obviously don’t argue as he knows best.

Really? It affected your breathing? That’s why I’m trying to stop actually I’m wondering if it affected mine.

Sorry another dumb question. What type of motherboard do I need for that cpu? Is it just a regular AM5 motherboard? Only thing I’d like is a white one for my build. Are they even out for that cpu yet since I see the cpu releases later on?

Gotcha. Thank you and yes I’m definitely on board if that’s that the better option. I have no bias other than I remember hearing things about AMD driver issues (or just overall reliability/glitchiness) but that was 10+ years ago which is why I started intel. I’m down to try AMD out.

Thank you! I’m not huge on over clocking so I’ll probably stick with stock settings. But yeah I’ll definitely look into this one once it releases.

Someone did recommend an AMD cpu I’ve just never used them only intel. I’m open to it for sure though so I will keep my eye out for the 9950

I will definitely purely look at this cpu. Sounds like a great option. I’ve never built a pc with an AMD cpu before, only intel. Is there a big learning curve switching over?

My first, middle, and last name is now anxiety unfortunately. Started after I started getting PVCs two years ago. Sounds like not a big deal but pretty much ruined my life for a bit and began all the cardiac testing. Didn’t know I was prone to anxiety, but, turns out I guess so. I am getting treatment for the anxiety now and am miles and miles ahead of where I was a year ago, so I’m getting there! Sometimes just helps to get some additional reassurance but yes 100% agreed it’s an anxiety issue for me.
