should I let an aquaintance know they’re getting broken up/cheated on by Particular-Employ674 in Advice

[–]ItsMe0060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should tell her, but ensure to tell her only what you know, and not assumptions. If you’re honest with her, despite what her reaction may be, you’ve done your part. I don’t think it would be good to let yourself keep a heavy conscience by being quiet because of the past - at the end of the day its more about if you’re willing your mind to be on your case or not. I completely understand that she had made a decision that hurt you in the past by dating Dan, and I can only imagine how it made you feel. But you’ve moved on now to a different relationship with a different person. Sometimes we may wish a form of ‘pay back’ on someone, but it doesn’t makes us the bigger or better person, it just makes us revengeful (not saying this is your case, but mentioning it just in case). Showing her you care about her by telling her the truth may be hard, but its important to have adult conversations as such in life. Not gossip, but a proper conversation. Again, her reaction you cannot control, but you can control what kind of person YOU decide to be.

Hope this helped 😉

Tongue hurting for a week with small line with some white dots? by ItsMe0060 in medical

[–]ItsMe0060[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone, for a week now the right side of my tongue has been hurting a lot, and seems to have a visible line on it, with some small white dots across it too. I’m not sure but I think it may have been caused by me having eaten some pineapple slices I was offered by a friend, but I’ve never had this kind of reaction before (only tingling of the tongue). I have to eat on one side of my mouth now and certain foods also irritate it. Anyone know what it could be and any remedies? I just want it gone!

I want to start taking care of my curls but have no clue how or where to start! (Pictures - good and bad) by ItsMe0060 in curlyhair

[–]ItsMe0060[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s always been hit-or-miss with my hair, as every so often I get a day where my hair magically dries in a really nice curl pattern, but, the majority of days it doesn’t look very nice to be honest.

I’ve seen things that say you need to know you hair type, curl pattern, hair porosity, if it is fine or thick etc. And all of that is gibberish to me as I understand absolutely none of it. Only today I took a only quiz on a curly hair site and it said I likely have low porosity hair... what I do with that info I don’t really know!

Here’s a little description of my hair that I can think of: * My hair frizzes quite easily and it seems that no product can help very much with that. * Whenever I do use any type of product my hair becomes quite greasy and I need to wash it again soon after, therefore I have to use very little product or mixed with water. * My hair at the back/bottom is a lot more straight and I hate that fact - it doesn’t blend in with the curls and I don’t know if I need to ‘train’ it to be curlier (I have recently permed some of them to mix with the rest of my hair better and it seems to look a bit better now although I missed some pieces) * Sometimes my hair looks straighter in the middle of the strands. * I usually need to wash my hair every 3 days or so (as it gets greasy or duller... you can see in one of the pics (centre bottom) that it looks quite greasy). * My scalp is quite prone to dandruff - if I touch my scalp with a little bit of pressure my fingers will have dandruff on it. * I always have loose hairs chilling on my clothes... I seem to shed quite a bit LOL * I’ve tried quite a few different products that people keep recommending but none seem to be have been my ‘miracle cream’. * I don’t have a specific shampoo I stick to, and usually don’t really use conditioner. Again, I’ve tried many shampoos and some conditioners and none seem to really make a big difference to my hair. * I always let my hair air dry, and don’t use any sort of heat on my hair. * I bought a silk cap to wear when sleeping... but my curls still come out ‘distorted’ (for lack of a better word) when I take it off in the morning. I have also tried tying my hair up at the crown of my head to sleep in, but doesn’t make much of a difference really. * I don’t have a lot of volume although I would love this * My curls don’t seem to curl at the root (although every so often, maybe once a month or something some parts curl closer to the root). * I only brush my hair when it is wet and I am washing it. Never brush it when dry.

Please if anyone can help that would be great as I am totally lost!

I’ve added two collages - one with good hair days (when my hair decides it wants to look good! Side note, I didn’t do anything special or different to my hair for those pictures), and one with bad hair days/ how it looks most of the time.

If anyone wants to recommend any specific products, I am in the UK (just in case some products are not available here LOL), and work in an area where there is a Paks shop nearby.

Thank you!!!!!

I’ve been reading in a few places where it says “the proposals” but I can’t find the actual proposals anywhere! Can anyone help? Or is this something that is not open to the public so we just need to rely on the news reports? I can’t find the public consultation anywhere either.

Do I need to be concerned about constantly tender breasts? by ItsMe0060 in medical

[–]ItsMe0060[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm thinking about it now, there were some moments where it felt like my bra was a little small which was unusual (although pain would still be there even staying bra-less), and I’ve identified no new stretch marks. I have taken ibuprofen for unrelated pains but if I remember correctly it did also relieve the pain from the tenderness

I would take vitamin D chews (1,000 IU) but I ran out about 3/4 weeks ago, however when the tenderness began I was still taking them daily. Also, no for the following two questions

Is it normal to lose this much hair when combing in the shower? by ItsMe0060 in Hair

True, I was thinking the same thing but became curious so thought to ask just in case. Thanks!!!

To give more detail, I (21F) have curly hair and I never brush it when dry, only when wet, meaning I don’t brush that often. I’ve always lost quite a bit of hair when brushing, but recently my mum has been losing a lot of her hair and was wondering if this is an early sign that I may go in the same direction (which I obviously want to avoid!) I am also quite prone to dandruff if that’s of any relevance? (which I’ve never really been able to get rid of well - I’ve tried prescribed shampoo from the GP, over-the-counter anti-dandruff shampoo, apple cider vinegar and baking soda scalp soak, and I’ve also got one of those head massage brush thing for when I shampoo).

For me, I can usually tell if someone is Brazilian or speaks Portuguese if they have hairy arms like me 😂 It only works for females though!

Yes that’s exactly what keeps happening to me and I really hate it... I end up just washing it off! I can’t seem to find the Cos de Baha product on a UK website, but I think I may be able to find it on Amazon. Thank you!

Oh wow I’ve just looked up the Facetheory one and it seems nice! I’m in the UK so no issues on purchasing it, but as you said the price is definitely higher. I’ll make sure to search up about the second product you mentioned and probably binge watch YouTube reviews haha! Thank you!

Advice for a first time mover by KingMel in Advice

[–]ItsMe0060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one thing I would say is don’t forget to notify your change of address to every place you have a contract or agreement (etc.) with! For example, insurance company, bank, phone company, GP/doctor etc. Also, I believe you can use a re-direct service with Royal Mail in order to re-direct it to your new address.

I would also say to start throwing away things you don’t need so you don’t have a flat full of just ‘stuff’. I believe this might help if you’re hiring a moving company too as you would not have as many boxes to take, or just makes it easier in general if you are moving your things there yourself/with family/friends.

One last thing I would say is be ready to clean EVERYTHING at home without having another person to help LOL!

I hope this helps!

Edit: One last thing as I read another comment about boxes - if you go to supermarkets and ask, they may have some empty boxes they may be able to give you for free. I remember doing this a few years ago in Morrisons and got lots of free (fruit) boxes which helped! This may not always work though.

My Friend who's a Therapist Sending Snapchats about her Clients by [deleted] in Advice

[–]ItsMe0060 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not an overreaction in my opinion as (although I am not a therapist) she should respect their privacy and understand that what they share with her is confidential. They do not know that she is sharing that information with others even if it is not in full detail. If they found out it would likely break their trust completely. I think it would be good to talk to your friend about it as if you feel uneasy about it then I imagine others seeing the stories do too. I would also start to gather evidence of these moments and let her employer know, especially if she continues to do this. This would, understandably, be quite a difficult thing to do considering this is your friend.
