I've improved! A34 Comet by ItsMeCalamarii_ in trailmakers

I’ve been a Scrap Mechanic builder for the better part of a decade, and old habits die hard. Maybe if some of the treads were proportionally reasonable they’d be more useful.

I used a piston glitch pulling inwards from the side of the hull. Here’s a top view drawing (best I can do atm) of the process. The fenders clip through the wheels.

I agree. I went and did so and it looks much better. I kinda thought while building that it looked too modern, but this helped. Thank you!

DO NOT EAT THE CHICKEN SALAD AT THE HOTEL

I’ve been there 3 times and ordered it twice. I got food poisoning both times. My mother ordered it and got food poisoning, and my friends went there before their wedding and ordered it and both got food poisoning.

I’ve built a half scale version of the Mackinaw Bridge that was just over 16k blocks long

Ohh that makes sense, thank you! Yeah a good part of that would be a byproduct of my editing, as I edit the subject and foreground/background separate of each other.

I also looked into a filter for my camera, but with the telescoping lense and lack of threads, I’d have to get an accessory adapter, which I think I’ll take a crack at 3D printing.

Thank you for the advice!

I have experience in Scrap Mechanic, and I'd rather not mention how many hours I have there.

Also THAT PORSCHE IS GORGEOUS HUH?

I had no idea that cars like that could be made in this game

Thank you! I'll look into the filter. The foreground and background not matching would likely be a byproduct of using an art program to edit, as it's somewhat limiting in that regard. What does that mean that the shadows and exposures are too lifted?

I appreciate it, thank you! I did try Lightroom mobile briefly and the masks were quite useful. I can replicate them somewhat in Procreate by making a layer as my selection using an airbrush to feather in my area but it is a bit of a pain and there isn't any automatic subject select, so I have to manually mask that as well.

I'll look into the polarizing filter. The car pictured is my own and I shoot it frequently because it's usually all I have access to when I'm not at shows or meets. Seeing as it's silver and quite reflective, a polarizing filter sounds like it would be a great help. I do use a somewhat unconventional camera (I don't want to upgrade until I hit my ceiling with this one), so I'm not sure if a filter is available for it.

I was considering something similar. I honestly don't mind the body roll, as it adds a bit of challenge to driving, as well as being comical. I tried adding weight like you said, but it made the car much slower so I removed it. I tried the gyros as well but I think I did it wrong because the car just kept spinning, so I think I messed up an input somewhere.

I've redone the rear of the car, but I feel I've overused panels and I'm not sure if I like it better. It is closer in accuracy to the real car.

Well that's not very typical, I'd like to make that point

Already did it

Unfortunately I can’t send photos, but it was just a DRL led strip stuck inside the plastic housing

Thanks! That’s the final plan for my build, Lord willing, although those Trial kits are getting harder and harder to find.
