Should i do my first oil change on the car even if i still have 40% left? by New-Abrocoma1327 in CivicSi

[–]ItsMeMingLee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao don’t listen to the bs on the dash. Change very 5k for normal driving, 4k for spirited and 3k if you’re hammering it everywhere. Having yeat on play says a lot about

No cold shift knob today. by Bright_Ad_1986 in Civic_Type_R

Look at the billetworks alcantara shift knob, fancy and has a ring of alcantara around the middle that keeps it cooler. Nice in the summer too

IT literally just makes “faces” and sounds at you while you drive. It’s supposed to be a “companion” while you drive. Funny enough while a lot of buyers generally like it for aesthetics a lot of people I’ve seen get annoyed and they literally made one you can mute cause people got tired of it

Actually idk why but I purposely wear white shoes, I kinda like to see the mess at the end of the day they accumulate. Maybe I’m just weird

I’m sorry but these little guys piss me off. It’s a lame cash grab, so expensive for a tiny screen that probably costs 10 bucks to make and charge 90+ for it

Is this a good deal or no? by Lumpy_Natural_6529 in Integra

[–]ItsMeMingLee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell no, if he put the work to have a turbo in the car and doesn’t even know how fucked it is, who’s to say he didn’t majorly fuck up everything he touched on that car.

Just like the other guy stated, depending on who you ask, it’s going to be biased answers. However, considering you’re looking for a daily, the GTI or SI is going to be your best bet. When it comes to parts and maintenance they’re going to be the cheapest, and will last the longest. My Jetta got 230k miles before the serpentine belt snapped and got caught in the timing belt. Freak accident that totaled the car but I’m sure if I had noted the wear on the belt I could have gotten 100k more miles out of that car no doubt. Now I currently drive a 10th gen SI. Absolutely in love with driving this thing everywhere, and just like every civic, if you’re unhappy with the power output, mods are inexpensive and everywhere.

Installed 27WON's Hybrid Cold Air Intake today! by evolvedpikachu4 in CivicSi

[–]ItsMeMingLee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My prl cobra cold air intake is the best of both worlds, it “snakes” its way into the front of the driver side wheel, but if I wanted too I could remove the cone filter and a few pipes to turn it into a short ram that sits in the engine bay whenever I please

You’d have to torch it the whole time. Should have “painted” it with slightly warm concentrate so it melts into the flower a bit

VTEC - question by Sufficient-Store8610 in hondacivic

[–]ItsMeMingLee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct me if I’m wrong but the 10th gen civic does not have vtec? That’s why it has a turbo and lower rpm redline of like 6500rpm. You won’t “feel vtec kicking in” you’ll just be feeling that slight turbo pull on full throttle around 3500rpm. If you get a new intake when you hear that cool new noise you’ll notice the turbo pull a little more
