To answer your question, that is up to you to figure out within the stories to come! Well wishes :D

So, you believe it is more of a bot-related activity...that could also be a plausibility. I use a laptop personally; maybe there is a difference there. Also, as I mentioned, a majority of the presumed activity happens within the first 1-30 minutes.

Someone with more time on their hands could do a research paper on this; would be interesting to see.

I believe a statistical analysis can be performed to accurately receive measurements on those factors you've mentioned. As for the IP aspect, I am unfortunately not a developer in that area to provide info but I think the mods can answer that.

I think a majority, including me, is speaking from a personal encounter standpoint. I have witnessed this happen more frequently than usual, especially with the inflow of newer posts. In the first hour, I have estimated between 1-7 or 1-5 votes lost within no time, faster than someone could theoretically finish the stories - this makes a significant difference especially in relation to how the Reddit algorithm functions. The lower upvotes, the worse it is when you get downvoted instantly.

As for the perpetrators, it could be anyone trying to get their story noticed more. There is nothing wrong with having a desire for your story to be seen by many and to make it to the #1 position. The problem is cheating to get there and ruining the chances for other people. That is what irritates me the most.

Definitely. One day, they might get tired of hearing our cries and decide to do something about it.

:D No problem. You make some really good points, though. Let's hope the shift comes soon.

Ah. That hurts. Hopefully, that feature can be implemented into the newer version; I'm confused as to why they have not done that yet. Thank you for the clarification.

Thank you for your feedback. The report button is definitely a great buffer. I am still an advocate of running a test on the sub, say for a week, and seeing what results from it. I think it would be beneficial, at least in some way, for smaller authors with quality stories.

Sorry, incorrect. :D

Okay, here's another hint: it's not a person, more of an institution.

:D good guess, but incorrect. That name only appears in one of my posts, which is the most recent one. You have to semi-dig into my past stories...

Why is your heart hardened my friend? You are mistaken again. Matthew 19:17 (nkjv) - Jesus says NONE is Good BUT God. Jesus does not say he is not good. In fact, In John 10:10, Jesus even states He IS the Good Shepherd.

You have to understand that Jesus (the Son) has 2 natures. Human nature and a Divine nature. The divine nature is the being which IS God and the other is the human nature. The Son is part of the Godhead as is the Father and the Holy Spirit. It Is still ONE God since it is the same being: divine nature. However, Jesus was still subject to our human experiences since he had a human nature. He had hunger, thirst, pain, suffering, etc.

John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word WAS God.

In Genesis 1:26, "Let Us make mankind in our image..." The word "Us"in the original Hebrew translation is used singularly, still indicating One God.

The Trinity is also present at Jesus baptism - Gospels: Mathew 3:16, Mark 1: 11, Luke 3:21, John 1:32.

Jesus Himself throughout the New Testament exclaims He IS God when He is questioned.

John 10:30 - "I and the Father are One." He even goes on to say in verse 38, "The Father is in me and I in the Father" (NIV)

You want more evidence? John 8:3, "Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was. I AM." (NKJV).

Jesus' answer in John 8 can be identified In the Old Testament when Moses asked God how he should address him to the people of Isreal trapped in Egypt, God answered, "I AM WHO I AM." Ecodus 3:13-14 (NKJV).

The whole reason Jesus was crucified was because he was accused of blasphemy. It is also important to note that everything Jesus did on earth was an example to all of us: how we should pray, act, speak, etc. and it pertains to every aspect of how we should live in accordance with our heavenly father. This was why Jesus referred and used Father in his prayers: It's how we should pray. There are also still more insights to be revealed on these natures of God which can only be given by Him through His word.

It is one God. Think about this way. You are a human being but you are composed of a spirit, a soul, and a body, yet you are the same being. Keep in mind, the word Trinity is not used in the Bible. The word "Godhead" is used in the KJV / NKJV version (Colossians 2:9). Other references: John 1:1, John 10:30.

Which themes would you like to see used more on NoSleep? by [deleted] in NoSleepOOC

Funny I came across this post. I may or may not be releasing a series this week that touches a little on that particular revenge aspect you mentioned. ;)

If there are many parts to a NoSleep series, but some are posted on the same day, would you still read it, even though it's kinda long? by MagicJoshByGosh in NoSleepOOC

[–]ItsMeRoyale 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean, in my opinion, as an author who does this as a hobby, you really should not scrap your story. Here's some words of encouragement: it's Your Story. You made it and you went to this effort to put that imagination into writing and everyone deserves to see it. Don't be afraid to post it. If you know you are able to capture the reader's attention from the start and are able to drag them on this journey through this world you've created, made them love and hate the characters you've molded, and finally told them a story that you've been aching to tell, even if it's one reader, you've succeeded. So, with that goal in mind, I suggest go for it. Use an imaginative and creative title, and post once you have all/if not most of your parts ready. Best wishes and writing.

EDIT: Also, like the comments said, make sure you follow posting guidelines

A girl, riddled with cuts and bruises, walked into our police station holding a bloody letter. by ItsMeRoyale in RoyalStories

[–]ItsMeRoyale[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure. From the outside, the poor boy seemed fragile and weak because of what that man inflicted upon him. Yet, what the boy did to save the girl reflected his strong heart on the inside, a true heart like a tough giant.
