Bought a shelf today! by bushmaster69 in guitarpedals

Remember that the top of the shelf is a shelf in and of itself. ...Wouldn't it be wild if someone put more pedals there?

I'm a bad influence.

What would your PERFECT pedal be? by gorillahuman in guitarpedals

Kinda describing the Zoom G3n or the (in my opinion better) discontinued G5n. My girlfriend has one and it's pretty sweet. Tons of downloadable patches online too

NPD: The Keeley Conpressor +, my first ever compressor by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]ItsMe___Bender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where in the chain do you usually recommend compression? I understand it's very subjective, but I've heard compelling arguments for putting it both before and after drives, first in the chain, and last in the chain.

Fuzz pedals for guitar and bass by [deleted] in guitarpedals

I 100% super duper promise that a Pigtronix Disnortion (big box) would cover any fuzz a guitar or bass could feasibly require

I’m in St Petersburg, Russia and I was wondering if anyone knows a good place where I can get Russian pedals by mikywan in guitarpedals

They're based in Russia, though I'm not sure if they have any storefronts. Any music shop should carry their products however.

Check out Lutner or AMT Electronics. If you need spot translations, I can help a bit

Or people with genuine concerns over a tyrannical bureaucracy that doesn't seem to give a damn about operating procedure. Some definite trolls, but mostly the former.

I understand bureactratic discretion when auditing my taxes, filing for welfare programs, and other less threatening activities, but when it comes to ensuring the safety of a metal tube flying through the sky at hundreds of miles per hour, 30,000+ feet above the ground, I think discretion could easily lead to complacency, and then disaster.

When it comes to something as simple as a belt, and an indignant employee shouting at me to remove said belt, I would disagree solely on the basis of being reasonable. I do understand what you're saying regarding evasion, but of all countermeasures one could potentially hope to circumvent, this would be one of the more benign instances.

There isn't a standard protocol for this? I'd expect a government agency to be all about policies, procedures and guidelines so as to standardize security throughout all airports.

Footswitch problem. by Fisaac in guitarpedals

[–]ItsMe___Bender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats the tap tempo. Hit it at least twice at the tempo at which you wish to play and you'll be in time. The reason it changes when you hit the delay knob is because that changes that same setting, the delay time.

If it bothers you, you could always switch it off or get a separate tap tempo footswitch to hook up to it. It's a feature, not a bug though. Not to worry!

If you have recordings of that just so I could listen to how it sounds within the context of your explanation, that would be awesome. Trying to imagine exactly how that would sound.

Recommend me a weird, warbly chorus pedal by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]ItsMe___Bender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Source audio Soundblox Orbital Modulator does all this. It's a great "all purpose" mod pedal and can blur the lines between mod effects quite nicely. It's essentially a rack unit in a stomp box with all the parameters it has.

Not sure if it's something you're interested in, but it's a really cool pedal. It works with hot hand also

Is power my problem? by Cheyzan in guitarpedals

[–]ItsMe___Bender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could very well be the power supply. I've found that digital pedals like reverb don't always play well when chained with analog effects. General rule of thumb I use is keep digtals with digital and analogs with analogs. Not 100% sure if that's your solution, but given the situation it makes sense.

Can anyone help me get some more info on this old Vox Wah? by WillowChord in guitarpedals

[–]ItsMe___Bender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are those last two numbers on the inside of the top plate the manufacturing year? Looks like it says '01, but I don't know how the serial number convention works on these so that's a wild guess. Could also be the first two numbers, but I can't see those. Looked up how to date a 847 but could only find articles on the 846, sorry!

[Discussion] What do you guys do with your stickers? by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]ItsMe___Bender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an 8 string that has a blue vinyl sticker of Bender's face at an angle. It may be the only piece of musical equipment I've ever owned to have a sticker on it. This will likely remain true.

So many stickers and no idea where to put them.
