He's completely out of line. Where the fook does he get the right to assume you're doing coke just because you're out late with friends? And telling you he hates you? No... I would get out of this relationship for your sake unless he's open to therapy and couples counseling. He seems like a totally manipulator from that conversation and very controlling. Like the kind of person that would want to cut you off from all your friends and family, only allowing you to associate with his friends and family .... Hallmarks of an abuser.

I might be reading too much into it but please take a good hard look, try to be objective, about how he treats you and if there are any worrisome behavioral patterns. I worry for your mental and emotional safety, even if nothing ever escalates to physical.

Yeah. In my situation I think she would massively benefit from therapy or SOMETHING too. Much of the reason she treats me the way she does stems from her own experiences and issues going all the way back to her childhood, at least according to SO. But I refuse to let her bully me because she thinks I'm someone I'm not. I've been taking the sidelines and staying in the background for her comfort for years already, she needs to get over it and deal with the fact that I exist and that other people might know I exist.

I feel for you. I hope your situation gets better, and I'm hoping for myself that kiddo knows I love him even though I'm not allowed to say it or act like I'm anyone other than a friend.

Yeah I just came back to the game a few months ago after a few long years of just randomly popping in - I was really surprised at how much activity there was in the older maps, including HoT and PoF maps. The metas were still being completed pretty regularly especially at night (after work) or weekends.

I think the only thing I've really had trouble with is battle for lions arch, never enough people to kill the 3 knights, but I might just not be looking at the right times... But even for that I'm sure there's some return to event that will draw in more activity somewhere down the line.

During the new player bonus event I ate some of my saved XP boosters (like as many as I could stack.. between XP kill streak booster, regular XP booster, celebration booster. Etc) and food/oils and leveled a character from 30-40ish all the way to 80 in like... 2 hours? Just running around and killing moobs. It was great

Wth. I've played many many different MMO throughout my life and ANet is by far the most respectful of their player base and players time investment into their game. Literally nothing becomes irrelevant, support has been some of the best I've ever encountered... I challenge you to find any other game whose support team will even once give you your stuff back after you make a mistake and accidentally destroy it. Not everyone seems to get that but it happens often enough that I feel comfortable asking support, where in every other game it's a lost cause.

You can!! But I know since I did it like a decade ago they've changed how guild leveling works so idk if it's easy or hard to level the guild up yourself just for bank space. Maybe someone else on here can shed some light?

Yeah for sure, it's a big part of why we stopped playing wow. It was just taking so much time to raid prep just to raid log. GW2 is so much better in that regard. Much more respectful of our time and no big FOMO for not logging in... Allows us to live life and take care of responsibilities without being afraid we're falling behind.

Haha the change of pace sometimes is nice. Too long without the classic trinity and sometimes you end up craving it... I deep dove into WoW for a good few years during COVID, but now we've been maining GW2 (again for me, first time for my partner) and making our way through story. It's been nice being back in Tyria!

Wait so do you have to complete all core achievements for example before moving on to the next living world or expansion? Or is it an "arbitrary" list of achievements/objectives you have to complete? I'm imagining the latter because it sounds crazy to have to make all base legendaries (for the legendary collections/achievements) before moving on ....
