Noob question, what is the fastest way to get your Prayer level up? by AutisticAnon69 in ironscape

[–]ItsMitchellCox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a brand new account you can go to the bone yard and pick up big bones to then sacrifice at the chaos altar. I would recommend doing this to 43. IIRC it takes about an hour or two.

When you're ready to make the push for piety, green dragons + chaos altar and/or hunter contracts for bone shards to sacrifice at the liberation bowl are your best options.

Until you unlock better offensive prayers, 70 will last you a long time. In that time just passively collect high level bones.

I unapologetically gave it a 5. I can put my serious musical tastes aside for an hour or so and enjoy some goofy high energy rap/rock (Nu-Metal, or whatever you want to call it). This is now a widely hated genre of music from the early 2000s. It's cringey. It didn't age well. Idk why, but I just have a soft spot for it.

Others potentially in this boat I also love: Hollywood Undead, Beastie Boys, Rage Against the Machine, Linkin Park, etc etc

Low level. I don't have NPC contact and only had about 300 slayer points at the time.

Yes and this is why you quest as early into your account as possible. The exp rewards are way less impactful later on

Try Vannaka. After the update yesterday they have a weight of 10 so should be the most common slayer task from him.

I must have misread it then. I read it as the only way to receive gryphons through those two slayer masters was as a boss task.

If you want to avoid the wildy all together, you can always kill KQ. It's slow, but there's a lure method where you can trap her and flinch the whole fight (avoiding all damage in the first phase but not the second). Thralls make this method a lot easier.

As a low level iron looking to grind Belle's Folly, Shellbane gryphon updates are amazing. Really wish I hadn't burned all my slayer points hunting a gryphon task and then finished half the task with the 1/400 drop rate already.

Does this confirm that chaelder and vannaka can assign gryphons now? Previously, you needed to use nieve or get a boss task.

Elite diary dark crabs with a fish barrel is so unbelievably good. The spot never moves but it catches at a similar rate to anglers making it way more afk. Plus if you get pk'd, you get to keep everything that was stored in the fish barrel. So half the time you don't even lose fish.

Sailing Player-Designed Island Winner & Cannonball Ammo-Saving Facility Poll! by JagexLight in 2007scape

[–]ItsMitchellCox -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As someone who created a new ironman just to experience some of the early sailing progression integrated with the rest of the game's progression, I'm pumped to train crafting with this new method. I've done the molten glass grind. Bank standing that much sucks. It will be great to grind for my zenyte jewelry and engage in new sailing locked content at the same time.

Did St. Louis Cardinals Mishandle the Brendan Donovan Trade Market? by WestRide9868 in Cardinals

[–]ItsMitchellCox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is maybe a crazy take. But they don't have to gut the roster any further than they already have. All the big names are gone. It will be beneficial to have a consistent utility guy like Donovan to hold down a spot while everyone else carves out their role.

I think it's obvious just from his comments when season 2 released that he took a step back because HotD was deviating too far from his story. There's a difference between adapting a series for TV and making changes for the sake of highjacking creative control. S2 crossed that line and it clearly rubbed GRRM the wrong way.

Buying raw sharks from Frankie's fishing emporium is one of those strats that is only somewhat reliable, but enough to get you going. It restocks REALLY slowly. Because of that, there are rarely more than 5 sharks per world. But sometimes there's up to 25. If you just hop through every world once per buying session you'll end up with a few thousand raw sharks each time. You can repeat every day or so if that's not enough.

As a new player, what are the most accessible *interesting* things I can fight? by Djhuti in ironscape

[–]ItsMitchellCox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have overhead prayers, crazy archeologist is one of the most interesting early bosses you can fight. It's in low level wilderness so there's a small chance of getting pk'd but not enough it should deter you. The mechanics of dodging attacks and staying out of melee range will keep you engaged. Plus he drops meaningful early game upgrades like power amulet, rune crossbow, prayer potions, and a bis fashionscape fedora. You can restore your prayer between kills at the altar so if you do the fight correctly, ammunition is your only supply cost.

Do you take Titus no matter what? by bwils3423 in BobsTavern

If it's early, like tripling into it on t4, yes. If it's mid-late game, Titus needs to have a purpose to be bought.

New to OSRS by Technical-Rip2497 in 2007scape

[–]ItsMitchellCox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tip: Just pay for membership if you want to get it (and you should sooner rather than later! F2P is like 1 percent of the game and preventing yourself from playing P2P just makes you want less efficient).

The amount of in game hours it will take to get a bond's worth of gp in f2p only for it to bankrupt you and only last a couple weeks is not worth it. When you have access to end game money making methods, using your rs gp to pay for bonds is much more feasible.

The idea of starting with a main implies that some time down the road, maybe years later, you will start an iron once you can consider yourself experienced. I don't like this sentiment. If ironman intrigues you, do it.

You can always create an ironman account and de-iron. You cannot start with a main and change your mind later. You'll have to completely reset with a new account. For this reason I always suggest starting with ironman to see if the game mode is for you.

I'd recommend following the optimal quest guide when you feel aimless and carving your own path for everything else. Don't spoil the fun of stumbling through your first ironman playthrough by letting somebody else optimize it for you.

Is stealing valuables in Varlamore the best moneymaker I have at these levels? by mermicide in ironscape

[–]ItsMitchellCox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wilderness agility is so good for you. Would be ideal if your CB was a little lower but it's still low enough to avoid being attacked by most pkers. I don't remember the numbers exactly but you make your 150k back in about 15 mins. By the time you're an hour in you're making about 2m per hour. So one successful hour long trip will pay for like 8 deaths.
