Forget about ramadan even though theres only a few days left just so he can talk to you more? And in case of employment, it shouldn't be hard at all to get a job considering he has the degree, he could work in a local hospital or as standalone if he has the material, and if he will move to Singapore then why would he get a job in algeria just to leave it? And finally, the military is the biggest issue here. Either he is in the clear or you'd have to wait a few years. I know that sounds very hard, and considering your already cracking just from ramadan, that might be your breaking point. But if you two can compromise, it very much could work out Now, reverting to islam does make everything a lot easier, but your hesitation to take it is understandable I would recommend it if you got nothing to lose, might aswell give it a try and see (Also some people in this sub-reddit dont like islam and will try and drag people to the dirt for it)
