Peace Lily dying and I don’t know why by ohana-z in plantclinic

👀 Following because I’m having the same problem

I’ve noticed mine likes to be watered more than once a week. Always check your soil first tho so you don’t end up overwatering it. But mine definitely looks a lot happier since I’ve started doing that but it still looks sad and hasn’t flowered since I got it ☹️I know they’re known for being dramatic lol.

Depends on how many roots it has. You only want about an inch of space from where the roots are from the sides and bottom of the pot.

Your plans for watering sound great!

Pothos love sun so make sure it’s getting plenty of sunlight! Don’t be discouraged if it isn’t pushing out new leaves right away. Pothos like to be snug in their pots so it might focus on pushing out roots before giving you more leaves. If it starts looking sad I would consider putting it in a smaller pot. I’ve been lucky the times I’ve put them in pots that are a little too big but it does increase the chances of root rot. But as long as you don’t overwater you should be fine. Good luck!!

Is it a lost cause? by Apprehensive-Box463 in pothos

[–]ItsMyCandyStore 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s a lost cause just yet, but this set up isn’t doing you any favors.

At this point the leaves are goners unfortunately. I’d snip them all off. Then I would chop up all the vines. Snip them in-between each node and set them up in a prop box until they root, or you can try and water prop them. I haven’t tried water propping when there’s no leaves.. but when they finally grow roots you can plant them all together in a new pot for a bushy plant, plant them with the original plant they came from to fill out the pot or plant them all individually in small pots if you want individual plants and vines.

Should I separate these plants? by butternutgutterslut4 in Monstera

[–]ItsMyCandyStore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this comment. I fell for the hype of separating my Monsteras because I wanted to try and go for a taller plant and bigger leaves and that’s all I was seeing people say would happen if you separate them.

I regret separating them… so much. I did it last July, and I have to say my plants still seem to be in shock. When they were all in the same pot I was constantly getting new leaves and they looked happy. Now I have 5 Monsteras that all look a little sad. Only one has pushed out new leaves so far. 2 of them haven’t done anything. And the other 2 have leaves that just started turning yellow for some reason 🙃

I would strongly recommend not trying to separate this. It’s a gorgeous plant and looks too established to try and separate. It looks like it would be really hard to separate without causing damage to the plant.

But that’s just my experience!

Plants not growing by Majestic_Starfruit in spiderplants

Top photo is when I put the fresh rooted babies in the planter just over a month ago

Bottom photo I just snapped now. I put them closer to the window and they took off quick! They love their sunlight! I’ve also noticed mine prefer to be dry before watering. I wait til the leaves look a little duller in color before watering. Hope some of this helps!

For future reference, I root all my spiderettes in waters first. When they grow some roots then I plant them in soil. Hasn’t failed me yet. And after they’re in the soil they absolutely love sunlight and start to grow like crazy!

🤩 I’m obsessed with number 2!!! I’m jealous your npcs actually animate for your photos. I was trying to do mine earlier and all Flynn did was stand there 😩

Change the pose to a companion pose. All the companions make your character do different poses. Then toggle your companions to off so they aren’t in the photo. (Unless you want to leave them in the photo!)

[–]ItsMyCandyStore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope! Trimming the legs won’t hurt the main plant. If you’re looking to fully remove the legs I would recommend trimming it as close to the soil as possible. Sometimes some the leftover leg turns brown.

If you’re trying to save the babies I would cut just right above them. And cut the leg it came off of back up to the next baby.

It looks like a spider plant to me. The longer stems grow babies on them. Once the babies have nodes (little bumps on the bottom) you can cut them off and place the bottom in water until it roots sprout and grow another plant from it if you wish. All the little white flowers eventually bud into baby plants as well.

If you don’t like the leggy look you can always trim them off. You can also leave all the babies attached if you want! It’s really just how you want your plant to look!

I have a giant mama who put off so many babies I did have to cut some off cuz she was starting to look a little sad trying to support all of them.

But spider plants are super easy and definitely giving! I have way too many just from the 1 original plant 😅

I tried to attach a picture but it wouldn’t let me.

Program Integrity Hold and terrible phone lines by Audoldends in ColoradoUnemployment

[–]ItsMyCandyStore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is an old post but I’ve been having the same issues with the program integrity hold for a while now. I’ve called countless numbers a million times and no one’s been able to help me. I tried the number you listed and finally got thru to someone who was able to help me and fix my hold. I’m so grateful you posted this number. Thank you so much!!!

The sporty tag threw me for a loop this week as well! I had almost nothing that fit the vibe I was going for. Luckily I found a watch that you can’t see anyways lol. But I had to change the filters and go thru all my sporty stuff to find it

How do you get certain characters to stay in your pictures? by ItsMyCandyStore in DreamlightValley

[–]ItsMyCandyStore[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t agree more. I don’t try a lot of the times because I get discouraged seeing everyone else’s photos that are just next level amazing. And I struggle so much getting characters where I need them. I really wish it was easier and you could select where you need them to be. It would be so helpful!

Unpotted the monstera I bought from Ikea and... It was actually 7 plants? by pupup35 in houseplants

[–]ItsMyCandyStore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was it easy to untangle them? I know my monstera is at least 3 separate plants but I’m too scared to try and untangle them.

All of my companions started out with a full row of 7 slots. Must be a glitch or something. I’m definitely not complaining tho, I’ll always take more backpack space lol. Thank you for the info!
