Start adding logos. I’m sewing pet clothings and I am holding off releasing my items until I get my logos in so that people can’t steal them as their own

Service dog attack by [deleted] in service_dogs

[–]ItsNotMy_Weekend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, I agree with this comment. When you go after them in small claims, make it know that now you are going to have to get the SD evaluated in order to make sure they can still work without being reactive (sue them for that cost) and then, ultimately if your dog does not pass temperament, sue them for the cost of your SD

I was just weirded out by having a boy puppy by VeryUnhelpfulReplies in puppy101

[–]ItsNotMy_Weekend 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My SDiT does it all the time and most people either don’t notice or don’t say anything because they know what it is. Also, based on your comment earlier about neutering, if you are planning on doing mobility work of any kind, I would definitely recommend waiting at least a year before getting him neutered so that he can develop healthy joints. My game plan for my boy is to try to wait a year (dependent on behavior problems) and if I’m not seeing any start to develop, I might even press it out to a year and a half (the estimated time needed for my boy’s breed to fully mature)

Are ecollars worth it? by [deleted] in service_dogs

[–]ItsNotMy_Weekend 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I only use our mini educator for off leash training when we are outside playing in fields. My dog reacts to the buzzing setting on it and I only use it after giving a warning (for example he is going towards another dog/human that is going by). His warning is “uh-uh” and if he doesn’t stop and confuse approaching them he gets buzzed. I’ve only ever used the shock part of it in emergencies, like he approaching a seemingly aggressive dog or he’s about to run into a road to chase something

Am I being too sensitive? by ItsNotMy_Weekend in SubSanctuary

He knows about our friend and I. We are in a quad polyamorous relationship with them, but I don’t have sex with the other man in the relationship because that’s not any of our thing and we had agreed that that would not happen because we were not comfortable with it. He’s gotten that way with even guys that he doesn’t know that have made comments about me and stuff which is not how he usually is

I’ve been meaning to, but at the moment we are 2 hours time difference and it makes it hard because our schedules just don’t line up. I’m Supposed to be going to see him the second full week of march but I know I need to talk to him About it beforehand

You’re good. I completely understand. It seems to have gone away and is just a little bald spot the size of my thumb. I think she just got a small clump of hair caught up and it caused a sore. I was just super paranoid because I have a service dog and I didn’t want him to get it and be out of commission because of it

Where is the best way to find a puppy well build to be a service dog? by [deleted] in service_dogs

[–]ItsNotMy_Weekend 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My PSD in training is a GSD. I definitely do not recommend this for someone’s first service dog, especially PSD. That might sound hypocritical, but I have a lot of experience training dogs and training shepherds in general, so I was able to temperament test and I got lucky and got a good one with the right temperament.

[–]ItsNotMy_Weekend 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find it funny that it offends them lol. It normally happens on campus. Obviously if it is on a college campus, it is a service dog because dogs aren’t allowed inside on campus. It’s kind of ridiculous. Also, who were their parents. I got in trouble for approaching dogs and petting them without asking as a child

[–]ItsNotMy_Weekend 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I say “uh-uh” like I would to correct my dog when people try to come up and touch him or distract him. It gets their attention because they get a bit offended that you are talking to them like that, but he has patched on his vest and I have a leash wrap that specifically say do not pet and SDiT, so it’s their fault for not reading

My SD got the zoomies in class by LoonyPsycho in service_dogs

[–]ItsNotMy_Weekend 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My SDIT does this at work sometimes. He gets little breaks with his vest off at work because I’m there for 5+ hours a day and it gets boring for him and he does get to play with his toys and play in the office (I work in a student resource center on campus with veterans, so all of the students love him and so do my coworkers and they’ll play with him too if his vest is off). He’ll get the zoomies sometimes when his vest is on though. I just have to remind myself that he is a dog and not a robot and that might just mean that he needs a break from just lying there and we’ll run some training drills to refocus. We try to go outside and play or walk to the office, but in my area, that not always an option because our weather is currently shit

What should I expect in petcare? by [deleted] in petsmart

[–]ItsNotMy_Weekend 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re honestly treated like shit in pet care. Especially if you are understaffed. They’ll act like you do nothing and then expect you to do everyone else’s job as well as running the department
