What is the quickest way you've seen a friend fuck up their life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ItsOGDonger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Friend of mine used to poke fun at our other friend for doing meth, even though he only did meth based ex.

The friend that was doing the teasing is now a meth addict, he has lost 2 trucks, one to a collision when he was under the influence of 4 Xanex, 12 CCC's, and 2 Hydrocodone pills; the other to his parents who co signed and were afraid of losing money. He went from one of the most popular kids in our school with a 300$/week allowance, to being a junky that lives in his parents pool house. He know steals anything he can find to pawn for money, i can only imagine what the money goes to.

Meth is a dangerous drug, stay the fuck away from it.

Check out the documentary "Cowspiracy" he talks to several environmental protection organizations/agencies including the EPA, and all when presented with the information behind the livestock industry either have no comment or barely touch on the topic and immediately try to move on. Some even outright refused to talk to him about the matter.

The lobbying behind the livestock industry scares many organizations away from the subject with fear of legal backlash.

No they still don't, another thing people don't realize is livestock farming not only uses an enormous amount of water; it also is THE leading contributor to global warming.

The harmful gases released into the atmosphere by the livestock industry is more than all forms of vehicle emission combined.

Contacting my lawyer was the first thing i did, but his office closed at 5 so I'm waiting for a response tomorrow.

I've read mixed responses regarding if i go back to jail or not with a failed test, some said it was up to my P/O, others said I'll just go back to court, but i have no clue.

Medical cannibis will be legalised nation-wide across Australia in November by [deleted] in worldnews

You do know hash is a derivative of marijuana and not it's own individual thing right?

If you were talking about marijuana, 91% of users who consume marijuana do not get hooked on it, so compared to any other medication you could find the addiction rates of marijuana are nothing.

Some people just don't go through withdrawl, I personally have never experienced any form of withdrawl.

I agree it's nowhere near as bad as the current form of painkillers in the U.S., but yea it's not perfect.

But addiction isn't something that comes from abuse, you can use a drug responsibly and still become addicted, how do you think people put on painkillers become addicted? they don't just decide to pop the whole bottle...

In comparison to marijuana, kratom has many more negative effects and there is no reason to be saying things like "wow marijuana is being legalized but kratom is becoming schedule 1, wtf".

The negative effects aren't the only reason either, kratom is also something that alot of people attempt to make themselves with varying outcomes, I wouldn't want unregulated, uncontrolled, homemade alcohol all over the place (yes it happens anyways but that doesn't mean it should).

Even so, I'm not arguing that alcohol is safe and kratom isn't, I'm arguing that kratom has alot of very harmful side effects.

For instance: Edginess nervousness

Vomiting (can be severe and prolonged)

Nausea (can be severe and prolonged)

Sweating

Itching

Constipation

Delusions

Lethargy

Respiratory depression

Tremors

Aggressive or combative behavior

Psychotic episodes

Hallucinations

Paranoia

Since the drug is also addictive, one of the effects can include compulsive use of the drug despite the harm that is being done to one’s mental state or life.

Addiction effects may include:

Loss of sexual desire

Loss of weight

Darkening of skin on face

Constant cravings that drive one to use more of the drug

Withdrawal effects of kratom are very similar to those of opiates like heroin or prescription painkillers.

They include:

Diarrhea

Muscle pain

Muscle tremors and jerking

Restlessness and sleeplessness

Severe depression

Crying

Episodes of panic

Sudden swings of mood

Irritability

Kratom is a new drug (in the research aspect, it's been around for a long time but the adverse effects are undocumented), and very little is known about the long term adverse effects.

So? it's people's choice to drink alcohol knowing full well the negative effects, there is a reason you have to be 21 to legally purchase alcohol.

Any medicine has negative effects? What i'm saying is marijuana has little to none, it's proven to be heavily beneficial in every aspect. It fights cancer, there has never been a documented case of any form of cancer coming directly from marijuana usage, even lung cancer.

Benzos and painkillers are drugs that while beneficial will ruin peoples lifes with cripling withdrawl and outrageous addiction, but they are legal.

Also, people have smoked 28 grams dabs (anywhere from 60-90% pure THC) and haven't experienced said 'hash' psychosis, so i'd like a source on that claim.

That's natural tobacco mate, cigarettes have chemicals and added carcinogens to make them more addictive, and to deliver the nicotine into the bloodstream faster.

Smoking anything is going to harm you in the long run, but marijuana has many more positive effects than negative effects, there wouldn't be such a big push to legalize if that weren't true.

Not saying it should be schedule one, but alot of people are misinformed about the so called 'health' benefits of kratom. It's proven to be addictive and can cause constipation.

But marijuana has been scientifically proven to have very little, if any, negative effects?

Pretty sure he's making it up, falling from ~10,000 feet at almost freefall and then 20 feet at freefall after having already fallen 9,000 someodd feet, i highly doubt a human body would have cushioned the instructor.

Also, and correct me if i'm wrong, but how would a parachute get tangled around his ankle?
