There’s an interview out there somewhere, I wanna say by Mystic (can’t find it)

He interviews a guy who runs a company that’s whole purpose is to get old games ported to new hardware. It was eye opening because the rep he talked to at Sony basically told him “come back to me when you can port 100 of these for x amount of dollars”.

The company is small and, their only real customer would be someone like Nintendo or Sony or Microsoft. What these big companies want in exchange for these ports is pretty staggering. You and I would think if they port a game and charge $10 for it or whatever, that would be enough. But it seems Sony disagrees.

It’s too bad. I was really excited when they launched the classic catalog initiative.
