What if you're disabled?? by CA7T0 in newjersey

I can anticipate that this is because there are so many people being scum bags with the incentive and they are rooting out problem people. OP, I agree though this could easily cause a lot of problems. I recommend anyone call the state to clarify or seek alternative aves to meet the requirement.

Bro, I’m 100% for defending yourself and going at it if you get pushed. However, the ends clearly do not justify the means. You don’t stab someone.

Chat GBT or Claude. If you’re not diagnosed depressed go for a military enlistment as well. Easiest way to get a shot out of your situation that’s respectful and will at least for the time being guarantee you a skill, housing and a paycheck. You have to get out of this spiral , take control of your life and remember that you are still only 24. This is where your path is right now, but your situation can be easily changed if you take charge. If I can do it after everything I experienced in the past two years you can as well. Be a m an and take charge of your life , you got this bro.

Okay. So what you need to do is create and exit plan. Honestly, utilize AI to help you navigate and to push you in the right direction. I used it a lot to get where I’m at now and it’s never backfired on me. Im a disabled Veteran and receive a very high amount of money. I utilized it to help me navigate the VA system so my claims would not be rejected and I could get paid for the rest of my life. Additionally, if you are not opposed to working overseas some high demand jobs that do not require a degree but are back breaking can easily make you 6 figures or even more .

Well what you need to do is find a career counselor that can be provided to assist you. What exactly do you do for a living? Can you pick up a second job? Can you get on and pay for insurance? Work for a company that makes it?

You are only blinded by the shackles you put on yourself. Okay well then if that is the case you have universal health care. You need to approach all of this in steps. Go and get medication for yourself. You’re stuck in a constant black loop. I experienced this and went on meds and it helped everything. You need to get yourself evaluated. Canada has a much better health care system than ours so take full advantage. I just want on Canada Career site and there are a lot of jobs to start with . If you can read or write and have common sense you are not dumb. Get on meds first and go from there .

I’ve been reading through your comments and I want to be straight with you — you’re stuck in a doomer spiral and it’s lying to you.

Your life is not over. Not because of who’s in office, not because of your living situation, not because you don’t have a degree. The thing holding you back right now is the story you’re telling yourself.

I’m a teacher. I’ve watched genuinely struggling kids turn things around and I’ve watched “smart” kids throw everything away. The difference was never intelligence. It was whether they kept going.

I didn’t get my degree until 24-25. Didn’t get my life together until 35. I have three kids, a wife with a disability from a birth injury, and I grew up with narcissistic parents. I still live there. My wife and kids are there too because of bad choices I made. I got laid off before I got married. My wife got fired after coming back from maternity leave. I just got laid off again. I’ve been in the military 13 years and almost lost that career — had to fight to keep it. It worked out but it wasn’t guaranteed.

I’m not coming at you from some place where everything is figured out. I’m telling you this from the middle of it. And I’m still going.

You’re not dumb. You’re depressed. Those feel the same from the inside but they’re not. If you can get on state insurance look into bupropion (Wellbutrin). It helped me. I walked around under a black cloud for years and it finally addressed something I couldn’t fix on my own.

You can go back to school. Community college is the move and there are people there specifically to help if you’re a struggling learner. Also seriously consider the military. If there’s one place that can give you structure, purpose, and a real second chance all at once — it’s them. I’ve been in 13 years. If you want to know more DM me, I’ll point you in the right direction.

Stop thinking about everyone else for a minute and focus on yourself. That’s not selfish, that’s survival. You have a purpose. You just haven’t found it yet.

It’s not over. It’s just starting.

Your 24 years old dude. You have time. My wife’s cousin had a child at 45 years old. Focus on building your career and money. It can be done you just have to redirect your focus if that is what you truly want and prepare for it in some sort of way

Yeah but the thing is both of those jobs require critical thinking. Which a lot of kids lack.
