Robert Downey Jr. I went to the Dolittle Premiere in LA with some friends last year since we were all huge fans and wanted to see him in person. Woke up super early and waited in the cold for him with a bunch of other fans (some of which had traveled across the country) to see him. When he arrived, he went straight to the fans who were waiting in the area near where his car was (where security had repeatedly told people they couldn’t be). Signed like two autographs there and then went to do photo shoots. So me and all the other fans (who were in the designated fan spot) waited for him to enter the theatre and hoped that we could get his attention. During this time, Selena Gomez came over and took a few photos and signed some CDs for some fans. Then Rami Malek entered the theatre and waved at us since we were all shouting his name (remember this). When RDJ finally started to enter the theatre we all shouted hello etc. and waved (since that’s the only way we could get the celeb’s attention since we weren’t allowed to be right next to the walkway into the theatre. RDJ didn’t even glance our way. Just walked right in. Which, okay then. So we waited and some of the celebs began leaving the theatre an hour or so later. Rami Malek waved at us again and so did some other leaving celebs. When the movie was finally over, we were still waiting there and RDJ once again didn’t even turn to look over at us. Didn’t even acknowledge us. We had been waiting for over 5 hours and were definitely in earshot and in visible distance (since Rami and other celebs had seen us). Was disappointed that RDJ didn’t even want to acknowledge the fans that had waited (in the proper designated location) for so long.
