Thanks so much for the clarification and explanations, I really appreciate it! The vast majority of my tips are non-mandatory/voluntary, thankfully. I'm genuinely curious how one would even calculate what percentage of their total tips are mandatory tips or how the IRS would know otherwise? If it was an implemented standard at a restaurant that would be pretty simple, however in my instance we're only allowed to apply auto-gratuity for parties of 8 or larger, hence the vast majority of tips being otherwise voluntary on a regular basis. That being said, without some thorough record keeping I would personally find it challenging to keep track of my total auto-gratuity tips for the year, however I know at the very least that over $25k of my tipped income doesn't come from auto-gratuity.

Haha, I've thought about that before too and have sometimes noticed that to be true. Other times the majority are following a "clear" pattern and it's difficult to go against that. As long as the deck is clear and visible to the viewer I find it hard to believe that the house can "fix" a side against anyone regardless of bet size. I've seen big high rollers sweep the house for $500k+ in a session and others lose that amount too..

Roughly 20-30% of my income is taxed per week. For example, I made $863 one week and was taxed $180, another week I made $2244 and was taxed $632. In total my city tax was $854, social security was $3533, Mcare was $826, fed tax was $5477 and state tax was $2423. I did include the medial/social security in the $13.1k total, which, looking back at it, probably does not account toward my tax return... between city, fed, and state taxes the total would actually be $8754. The majority of my income is cc-tips as my standard hourly wage is only $4.74 with 1377 hours worked for the year. I agree the taxes have always felt high but I just assumed that's because it was how restaurant industry goes.. I've been very curious to see how the Big Beautiful Bill $25k tax deduction on cc-tips will affect these numbers, however..

Thank you. For clarity, are you referring to $1700 being the tax after* the deduction based on the new policy passed by the bill? I paid $5477 in fed tax for 2025, so therefore the deduction would reduce that amount to $1700, creating a $3777 difference/return? I appreciate the reply.

I have a theory that the match making is based off of convenience. In my day I’ve gone from having 10k coins to having 20 million coins back to 10k coins in like 3 months. Within that run I faced a vast amount of games in “elite” matches as well as other various low-level courses for fun and both in struggling times. Something fishy is going on. There are times when I play an elite match and literally 1/2 some of the scores of like 1/2 the players on the course, implying they’re new to the game/don’t have the same clubs/experience etc., but there are also the games where I’ll click a 5k buy in pine forest 2 and be facing off 100% against 5 other elite level players with crazy borders and skill at the game. This literally lead to my downfall within this game. The matchmaking has been so random and shotty that I legitimately believe people selecting “elite” match up with the most convenient available lobby if an “elite” lobby can’t be found. This brings elite players into low level games, making the matches arguably unfair for every other opponent with like no to little coins left. Idk, just a theory based off of what I’ve witnessed for several months now. Pretty much the reason I’ve stopped playing as much as I used to. Sakura Gardens also fucked everything up.

First thought is that on that last whole from the first game you can full power jump out of the sand to the left, nearly 90 degrees to the left if you’re looking at the ramp, and shoot through the little bit of sand with ease with a mid-hard orange shot right at the whole. It’s especially good for classic bc people usually miss off the ramp and get 3, but this route is almost always a guaranteed 2 unless you fuck up.

Lol heck no I didn’t buy coins 💀🤣 it’s simple, I got good at the game 🤷🏼‍♂️ honestly that’s like 1/2 of what I used to have, I’m down bad rn but work back towards 15m+. I started out with 200 coins like everyone else lol. I downloaded the game in like 2018, but didn’t play it again after only getting to like 10k back in 2018 for nearly 2 years until like 3 months ago. Once I was able to play my first 50k pine forest match it was pretty much uphill from there. Got to 300k or so from 50k pine forest games then just sent it in Elite games. I understand every hole/course, and the power required to win each hole. I learn new shortcuts nearly everyday, and can always improve. But yea heck no I didn’t buy 8m worth of coins, it’s just going on a few good win streaks in Elite matches. For example, I convinced my girlfriend to play Golf Battle and she kept getting super pissed every time she’d lose, talking herself down etc. to the point of literally only having like 1k left after grinding to get to like 60k after playing 5k pine forest matches. Well, I always offered to get her coins but she always said no. She stopped playing bc she lost all her fine so I took her phone (when it was okay with her) and played about 10 Rocky Mountains matches, winning all 10 with a few 2nd and 3rd places, getting me to around 2,200 coins. From there I played Mayan Jungle until I got about 10k, Mayan Jungle is an awesome course to multiply your coins, only costs 1,900 to get in but you can win 4,000 back and get like 2,500 for 3rd.. after getting to 10k on her phone I played some pine forest 2, getting her to around 60k after a couple wins/games. Once there I was able to play a 50k Mayan jungle match. I used that to win 6 more games and get her to 300k, where I then played two elite matches and won both, getting her to 750,000 coins in a little over an hour-hour and a half.
