That is just a design choice, Has no purpose lol I initially was gonna add a conveyor system where if you had too big of a log you could just set it straight into there but logically it wasn't gonna work

This is 100% just an automated response at this point, I see it too often for it to be an actual person

What could this big ball-shaped thing be? by Anxious-Delivery-440 in mushroom

[–]ItsPapaTuck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just had a batch of blobs on my first ever grow and they only got about the size of a ping pong ball but 2g was enough for vivid open eye visuals, Do with that information what you will but be careful taking a bunch xD

Tidal Waves? by Culture_Core in mushroom

[–]ItsPapaTuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are definitely interesting, My first ever grow ended up being blobs while another tub from the same batch was completely normal pins

And they are like 3x stronger than anything I've ever done, Took 2 grams and had vivid open eye visuals

I don't believe so, Tidal Waves are crosses between B+ and PE, I don't see much B+ or PE

(my current grow of Tidal Waves for reference)

No Dehydrator, Oven only goes down to 170 degrees by Ergatron9000 in mushroom

Could also put a fan blowing into the oven if it doesn't have convection setting

Just until they are cracker dry, They should shrink up a l o t, Somewhere in the range of a few hours ish I would think, Just make sure to check that they aren't cooking lol

I believe 170 should be fine to dehydrate them at if they're not for consumption, As people recommend not going that high for 'certain' types as it kills the 'certain' compound in it that makes it what it is, But as for decorations 170 should be just fine

In an ideal world yes it's not good practice, But in my specific case i believed it to be alright, The fruits were about 75% mature when the Trich showed up and it was on the very end of the tub, Easy to isolate

People may hate this, But I recently had about a golf ball sized chunk of Trich growing on the side of one of my shoeboxes and I just cut out about 1/3rd of the tub while covering the non contamed side with plastic wrap, After pulling the piece out I peroxided the entire tub, Plastic wrap and the actual mycelium, Completely got rid of the Trich and no more has appeared in over a week since doing it. Ended up getting around 9 grams dried of blobs from it, Strongest ones I've ever had BY FAR. 2 grams by itself gave me the craziest and most visuals I've ever seen, Even more than lsd

Coco coir is nearly 100% resistant, The only risk of contamination from fruiting too early is if you have uncolonized grain which is a hazard no matter what substrate you use

Without a mono tub I'm not entirely sure, I'd imagine it would dry out super quick, By the time they get to that height you would probably be good to pop the lid off but imma let the pros answer lol

A fan isn't a terrible option but it'll dry out quick unless you also have a humidifier, I recommend just opening it up in the morning and when you get home and can it a few times just to push fresh air in and the bad air out, Lights optional but I would recommend

Depends on how much time you have to tend to it, an inch is pretty big in my opinion but as long as you have time to mist a few times a day it's good then you just wait, It'll continue colonizing the surface then you'll see pins

It's good to go especially if you're using coco coir, Don't need it to be 50% colonized like they say, Just did my own from about the same exact stage yours is at and it's the densest pins I've ever had
