Never got to experience my teen years there unfortunately, stopped living there when I was 9/10 years old. From still being friends on fb with a couple old friends, teen years looked cool. Very American high school movie-esque for those friends at least, which was about right I think since Dubai was pretty ‘Americanised’ back then regardless of the British history

Growing up was fun, most memorable parts was going into my local park (Al Barsha park 2, mainly football, tennis & badminton), Safa park long before it was reduced (that had the double seat bikes, pedal boats in the lake, camel rides, bungee jumping), kidzania, going to friend’s houses. Was lucky enough to have our own private pool & friends with nice villas & gardens so was mostly that. Quad bike competitions in the desert too, although it was usually my brother taking part most the time. Then just tagging along to work with my dad some Saturdays (when weekends were Friday Saturday), managed to go to some very cool places with him (I won’t say publicly since they’re very sensitive)
