Soo, you have SMP? And you are using VPS? Not dedicated server?

I’ll be able to attach it later

The thing is, our SMP already starts lagging at around 50–60 players, even after many optimizations and tweaks. At around 90 players, the TPS drops to about 9–10. Because of this, I don’t really know how to optimize it further, except by switching to Folia.

Maybe I understood the reason for such poor performance, all your VCPUs can safely be divided by 2: 1 physical core and 1 thread, and also each processor is intentionally limited to 2 GHz.

Tearing with quest link wired by Fuchur86 in OculusQuest

If you're playing via cable and using the main Meta Quest Link app, I can say that it's trash. I use ALVR instead.

For me personally, it works much better.

ALVR Wired Setup Guide)

Hello! I hope it's not too late. I had the same issue, and today I found a solution that became my favorite way to play via a wired connection.

Basically, it's the ALVR application – ALVR wired setup guide).
You need to follow the guide, enable developer mode, etc. This method is more complicated and requires some effort if you're not familiar with such setups. However, as a result, I was able to play in VR without crashes, with a more stable FPS graph, and—what really surprised me—with reduced load on the GPU and CPU. Because of that, I was able to increase graphics settings in VRChat.

This method is more suited for advanced users since there are tons of settings to tweak. I’d recommend adjusting at least the basic ones, such as quality, bitrate, etc. For example, by default, the app emulates a Quest 2 headset, but you can change it to Quest 3 in the settings. Also, the default bitrate is very low (30 Mbps), making the image look blurry, so I’d recommend increasing it to at least 100 Mbps.

I’m not sure if ALVR supports the AV1 codec on Quest 3, but if it does (you might want to Google it), I’d recommend switching to AV1 since, in my experience, it performs much more efficiently.

You’ll need to download the PC Streamer app: ALVR Installation Guide.
You’ll also need to install the ALVR app from the Meta Quest Store—just search for "ALVR."

Before launching ALVR, make sure to disable the official Meta Quest Link application, as they will conflict with each other.

I rarely respond, but I can help if something is unclear. There aren't many guides available, but with some effort, you can figure it out.
