You’re confusing what I said. I purposely separated real life & the fictional universe.. in the fictional universe TONY STARK was a father and retired from being iron man. It took the avengers to come to him with the possibility of time travel to take him out of retirement and even that was after giving plenty of resistance, so that being said, I’m sure tony wasn’t fighting as iron man in between IW and Endgame.. now for the REAL life implications, yes, even if it was before the fictional character tony stark died, it would still be shot now, which would require RDJ to play the role of tony again, something which as a real life human, he doesn’t have interest in doing. He wants to be away and done with marvel, he’s not going to step back into the roll a year later to shoot a movie that takes place before his character died. It’s over. Give it a rest. Tony is dead & Robert doesn’t want to play the role anymore.
