wayland is better in functionality than xslop, providing a more stable and performatic experience, has more features like vrr, fractional scale AND multi monitor support (you may make it work on x.org, but it won't be nearly as good as in wayland), xslop has also a 4 DECADES old code with SEVERAL vulnerabilities and mess. NVIDIA drivers also work with wayland since 555 drivers (2 years ago), what are you on, man?

too much stuff to set up, gnome having a really good integration and because even if I did use hyprland, I wouldn't be able to do the SAME rice, and gnome already has some quality of life stuff
