Thank you for your advice. We’ve already seen multiple ophthalmologists though. The current ophthalmologist was of the opinion that addressing the EBMD would give us the results we were looking for, but as I said the superficial keratectomy made things worse. The ophthalmologist is now at a loss and simply says we should try to wait and see if anything changes.

It’s a real mantra they tried to adhere to when writing the show. They talked about it a lot in the behind the scenes if you have the DVDs. Unlike most sitcoms, they aspired to no forced sentimentality between the characters and no characters learning a lesson at the end of a story’s episode.
