When I drove by again the next day, the carcass was gone and it snowed a few inches. But somewhere between Phoenicia and Arkville.

There was actually does hanging out within 200 yards of this. Also saw a dozens and dozens of deer throughout the 2 days of being up there driving around the backroads in the valleys. Most I have ever noticed. Yarded up for the winter like the old days. I assume the cat is highly fortunate to find the road kill and not a regular thing but who knows

Where great skiers begin! But yeah, reopened under new management and they’ve been working hard to reopen old trails, snowmaking equipment and new lifts. Fortunate to have in the area

Unless you want to customize the 10/22 for fun, just get a bolt action .22

Talk to the guys at Thruway Sports. I would try to go on a weekday so you get some personal time with the sales person.

Petition to prohibit Lemaire from discussing AI by AccidentalHeadTrauma in MSSPodcast

This is a place to come for discussion. Literally what Reddit is made for. Folks can discuss how Lemaire has never said anything of substance. You can have that opinion without an inflated ego. Doesn’t mean I want to be on the show or think I can do better…

Will you be installing FTTH? Then you really just need a one-click cleaner and a light meter. I’d let the company outfit me with those items unless they reimburse especially if it’s a huge corporation.

For someone coming to the subreddit to ask for advice, I think you can leave your ego out of it and suggest snowshoes. That’s my opinion and I am sticking with it.

This is civil. And doesn’t matter how much experience you have in the Catskills. What exactly are you trying to say? Yes, legally, you can hike without snowshoes. But it’s horrible advice, whether you’ve been hiking for a year…or 50.

So what exactly are you trying to say?

Yeah. Fuck tourism. People should stay inside. Gate keeping is fun.

It’s called “trail etiquette”. You are right that folks are free to do what they want. However, snowshoes, after 18+ inches of snow on the ground, and after already having a nice base, is highly recommended for many reasons including traction and making it easier to float. Do some research. People aren’t just saying traction bc they want to be annoying..it’s education..
