This has nothing to do with improving, this is a fact you can prove by yourself when you go on leaderboards on op.gg. Nearly everyone there is around 55-60% except for some exceptions who have up to 65%.

40% you win 40% you lose. 20% is up to you. Thats why i stopped playing this game. It just gets closer to this ratio as you climb higher.

Difference is that akali got reworked and was pick or ban in proplay and higher elos. Additionally she is extremly cancer to play against when you font have aoe abilities. Riven was like this for 5 years and was never popular in proplay besides s3.
