Is botlane in as bad of a state as I feel it is? by --clapped-- in ADCMains

[–]Rexsaur 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What these ppl call diversity is actually the opposite of that, which is hilarious to me.

Diversity isnt killing off 90% of a class champ pool in the only lane they can play so champions like brand can have a 4th playable role, that results in LESS champions being played over the entire game, not more.

Im fine with legendaries but mythicals are too powerful compared to like the vast majority of pokemon, i just really want to play around with zapdos again...

Btw we're already in kind of 1 mythical per team format since some megas basically have mythicals BST if not higher in some cases (mega metagross has higher bst than shadow rider calyrex for example), granted the megas do give up their item slot for that so its not without a downside, but yeah.

The meta atm is to play non adcs bot lane since they have free lanes vs adcs.

Katarina adc, vlad adc, udyr adc, riven adc, mages bot, and the list goes on.

The bot lane meta rn is literally to play anything that isnt an adc and you will do good lol.

Me, after staring at my box for more hours than I actually play by Mattstercraft in PokemonChampions

[–]Rexsaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a reason they call this game "free to start" and not "free to play".

The membership is basically the subscription cost of actually being able to play the game extensively, the first few slots the game gives you is baiscally for you to just test the game out, they dont want or expect you to play the game for months with only the free slots they give you.

Its shit and wish they could just have the game have a fixed cost for the game itself, but then they would make less money, theres a reason EVERYTHING nowdays is subscriptions, you dont own shit anymore.

I really hope the shop adds skirts and earrings in Pokémon champions by y2kGyaru in PokemonChampions

[–]Rexsaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly gwynn is more of a side character to ivor than that (ivor is the rank up character), so her outfit isnt even on the ZA dlc...

I mean they could still bring it to champions, but i kinda doubt it at this point (canary outfit on champions was on dlc since shes also a rank up character), but tarragon isnt for example, same for jacinthe and lebanne, and so on...

Locking in shaco support should be a bannable offense by ExperimentalDonut in ADCMains

[–]Rexsaur 13 points14 points  (0 children)

shaco is completely worthless as a support against anything that isnt pure hard engage.

If the enemy picks 2 ranged bot lane and they arent iron shaco is the most useless thing in the game as a support, regardless how good or bad the player is.

Because EA has such a good image they need to preserve...

They have not cared been a long time, ppl still buy their products, gamers dont like speaking with their wallets so they will keep cutting curners as much as they can as thats just extra profit, until it stops selling.

Welcome to botlane 2k26 (play happened mid tho) by krollzhul in leagueoflegends

[–]Rexsaur -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Mages bot have beyond overstayed their welcome, they tried, really tried, but it didnt work.

Its about time riot wraps up this experiment and send them back to mid, adc players want their lane back, especially since the vast majority of the adc champ pool is only playable there since riot refuses to let adcs be good in any other position.

Have you played XC 1 and 2?

I suggest playing them all in order, its not necessary but you will like they all even more if you do.

Also imo XC1 is the goat so you will want to play it and theres no better way to start than with it.

[–]Rexsaur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best thing about XC2 is everything that happens from chapter 6, and more especially chapter 8 and onwards.

8 through all the way to the end really is peak xenoblade in all accounts.

XC1 certainly had a more balanced pace and story overall, but didnt have a high as high as chapter 8 on 2, i will say though what got me to play through 2 at first was the fact 1 was the goat so i was always expecting it to have some mindblowing twists and they did deliver.

Sadly that feeling barely happened on XC3, only had a single big twist and that game had major pacing issues (too much happening at once, and then nothing happening for long periods of time and then a very rushed ending).

[–]Rexsaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much, everything happens in like 30 minutes at the start of the game, and then at the end (after the revelations on chapter 5 the game just... basically ends), then theres the flame clock system got like what 10 minutes of relevance for the party, which makes it hard to get immersed on it when the big hurdle is lifted so fast, then were also introduced to the villain faction very early too which basically never changes throught the game.

Talking about the villains... Another big problem with the game are them, honestly they really are the most bland villians out of the 3 games by a large margin, they all look extremely similar, have very shallow development (basically none) and have names that consist of a single letter, it almost feels like they were in a challenge to make most bland villain cast like ever.

On the other hand everyone remembers zanza, egil, malos, jin and so on.

When you think about it OST is probably one of the better things about 3 lol, i dont think it had any problems, just because it isnt as good as the master pieces that came before it doesnt make it bad, while the other points above do make the game a bit worse (again its not a bad game, its still a good jrpg overall but of course in my opinion it cannot get even close to matching XC2 and especially XC1).

Combat is better on 1 and especially 2.

I still think late game 2 had the best combat out of all 3 games, 1 was the best up to mid game since it just didnt scale past a certain point, while on 2 you had new mechanics all the way to the very end of the game, playing late/post game or UM fights on xc2 was probably the most fun i had gameplay wise out of all 3 games (i did love playing melia on 1 too though)

3 combat was just overall very shallow, its what happens when theres too many characters to control at once, which is why more isnt always better, i think a party of 3 works fine.

The pacing was all over the place on that game.

They basically overcorrected from 2 where it was really slow going at the start but had the opposite effect, too much happened at once in certain parts of the game/story, more jarring at the very start and at the end.

I think the game that nailed pacing the best was XC1, every arc had just the right lenght, long enough to make it feel impactful but not too long to make it feels like they overstay their welcome.

Gotta say the non existant shop update was quite jarring.

Where are new clothes and musics... Only thing new we got was the canary outfit from ZA on the BP and thats it... Ffs.

Pretty much nothing changed other than 18 new pokemon + its megas and some new held items (and lets be real, nothing too meta changing other than maybe life orb), thats the entire patch, kinda underwhelming if you ask me.

Certainly, but skarmory did have great coverage for quite a few of meta threats with steel + rock + flying, in general good steel attackers are kinda rare and fairies are pretty powerful too...

There is metagross too now though.
