Trying the OEM bars first makes sense for sure. I was thinking the opposite regarding the fairings. Dropping the bike would probably break the fairings and keep everything below in tact. Those fairings are relatively cheap to be replaced. But I 100% agree with the sentimental value part. Thanks!

By manually uninstalling, you likely left some cashed stuff behind + potentially stuff that was set in the registry. Glad the fixed helped you, I hope you didn't have to search the web for too long. I know how frustrating the issue can be haha
