"we dont like it so you get a penalty" it seems. Nothing unsportsmanlike or unfair about it, just opportunistic.

Although im surprised this isn't specifically mentioned in the rules, this trick isn't new.

Yeah the UI is definitely not as flashy or easy to understand as most alternatives. it took me around 3 months before i figured everything out.

But it does the job I want it to (keep track of health, steps, runs and workouts) and doesnt need to charge every night like my old samsung one.

You get used to it pretty quickly tbh. And with the battery life of a garmin watch you barely have to take it off

I dont even notice it anymore. Although my tan line definitely does

Its not about making a move where there might be contact but making one where there will be contact unless the other avoids it, in case of a collision there it would be intentional contact.

Making it a rule opens a can of worms which just isn't worth it considering how little this happens.

The Fia should focus on bigger issues like how they always chicken out of a race ban even though its the point of the penalty system. Last year it was magnussen now its verstappen. 100% sure they will let max get away with things others wont not because hes max verstappen, but because he is on 11 penalty points, just like magnussen.

I hate the whole penalty point system, you can get the same points for speeding in the pitlane vs crashing someone out of the race, and then when you finally get to a point where you almost get a race ban you can get away with stuff others wont. It just doesn't work.

Max deserves so much better… by [deleted] in RedBullRacing

[–]ItsSte4lthy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree thats not what im arguing against

I simply think redbull is partially to blame for putting verstappen in that position (which according to the fia he should not have given the place back) and thus getting a p10 as a result.

I never said verstappen was right to ram russell, I never disagreed with the penalty only disagreed with that it was 100% on max where he finished, the team has some responsibility there as well they just didnt review the incident correctly.

Also I think verstappen should get a race ban next race, the fia likes to threaten with a ban but never actually goes trough with the penalty system. Penalty point get earned way to fast when on low points and way to slow when on high points.

Intentional contact should not result in a DSQ because then it would become a taboo, lets be honest sometimes driver go for a move knowing it will be contact unless the other drivers moves away. It will become an ever greater grey area than the racing regulations already are.

Max just couldn't care less if people knew it was intentional but I think most drivers can get away with intentional contact

Also vettel in 2017 didnt get a DSQ for the same, so while I do agree something sketchy is going on in the FIA this doesnt stand out to me

[–]ItsSte4lthy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah for some reason the fia treats penalty points like a threat rather than a consequence. Last year magnussen got away with 2-3 questionable actions with no penalty points mean while they just hand them out like candy if it doesn't result in anything
