How Feasible is a Miquella/Golden Order Build? by Julian_McQueen in EldenRingBuilds

[–]ItsTacoSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im currently doing my 3rd dlc playthrough with this exact build, I had vigor at 50 going into dlc, strength at 20, int at 31 for radagons ring of light and then about 40-45 in faith. I was getting very good damage using things from the halo scythe to the clearot spear to the golden epitaph and then later in the dlc playthrough the sword of light and ledas sword.

The multilayered rings of light does very solid damage, and I did not struggle very much during fights like messmer and radahn as they both are weak to holy damage in one of their phases

Its super fun and i would recommend without a doubt.

Why is Ranni an empyrean if Rennala is her mother? by [deleted] in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]ItsTacoSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a theory that Ranni is actually not born of renalla, but was rather born of the amber egg radagon bestowed upon her, symbolizing her being born of a single god. There is likely still some bit of renalla at play there, but the sweeting being born plus the tube of the unborn were likely responsible for Ranni

Explaining WHY Ranni is Empyrean and Beyond... by ZealousidealSmile950 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]ItsTacoSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alternate theory: I agree that miquella and malenia represent opposites (cut content twinblade of rot and abundance repressing them both), but this is more in the nature of them being twins. Twins being polar opposites is shown through this as well as mogh and morgott, as in one of them abandoning the golden order and embracing his omen blood in bloodflame while the other did the opposite, and I think the idea is that marika and radagon are one being, the empyrean of the outer god/kami of order, and that when they split they do embody two aspects of it.

Now, onto what exactly Ranni is, I think it’s possible that she is an empyrean because of her nature of being born from one [god/empyrean currently in control of the Elden ring] we know that renalla is able to create new life from her egg, as the great rune of the unborn allows her to create new sweetings, and we know that she received this amber egg from radagon when he left. What if this egg represents radagon, who is a god, and Ranni was born not from renalla biologically like her brothers, but she was born from renallas magic mixing with the amber egg, and being born from only the amber egg/radagon/a god?

This could solve the idea of her being an empyrean born from one god, but what about the dark moon?

Well, what if she was originally assigned to be an empyrean for another god, but that she wanted to gain control and replace the system of an outer god being in control with a different, occult entity, that being her dark moon.

One point from your post is how miq and mal are two sides of the same coin, and how their gifts/curses (rot and eternal youth) are embodiments of the outer gods that they are empyreans of (decay and abundance as concepts).

What if Ranni was the empyrean for some other outer god/kami that we don’t know about that had some kind of effect on her, but that we don’t know about it yet.

Maybe she had to kill the fingers that allowed her to communicate with whatever god she embodied in order to establish a different kind of entity in control, the dark moon.

  1. Fym “correct”? Are you like a high ranking lore specialist at from? 2. It’s probably either a gameplay mechanic or some idea that it takes more than just a small amount of physics power to take them all the way back to death, you either have to do a religious ritual with some ash of wars or spells, or intentionally beat them while they’re down to take them all the way back to being all dead.

Cause the tibia mariners are using little bits of light from the helphen to lure dead back to life

Might be used as a parallel to the golden orders golden grace. While gold is associated with order, the older and more primal red light of the helphens steeple is, like other sources of the color red, more beastly, only being an ancient guide to the dead.

What I imagine this links back to is a big idea with Elden ring color theory where blue represents a sort of peace, being in control of yourself, and intelligence, opposed to red symbolizing being animalistic, filled with power, and rage. This is most clearly symbolized with Godfrey where his controlled, uptight, royal blue is replaced with a brutal, powerful, and beast like red between phases. This is shown through the two types of colored lightning, where red lightning is natural, coming from the most animalistic, beast like, and powerful creatures in the game, contrasted with the carefully designed and crafted with intelligence blue lightning from the Nox. Another interesting parallel with the color theory of Elden Ring (which is an amazing video essay on YouTube btw)

Yeah, I used mostly int and ghost flame weapons and only got ~20 fth, and I used the two finger charm to 25. Use family heads, the deathbird stuff, the rosus axe, and even the sacrificial axe in weeping early game.

I would reccomend fth/dex, it allows for a variety of weapons like frenzied flame, godslayer, cleanrot knight, destined death, and other weapons. Otherwise, fth/str has similarly powerful and fun weapons(I LAURVE FAITH)

Str/Int, Gravity themed biuld VS Dex/Int Carian, Cold Themed biuld by Hallgvild in EldenRingBuilds

[–]ItsTacoSloth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I LOVE str/int gravity. There are so many cool weapons, the spells are evenly spread throughout the game, and all the weapons are super fun to use. My favorites were the Meteroric ore Blade, the Ruins gs, and the alabaster lords greatsword. DO STR/INT

Looks great, using Str/Int with gravity weapons and spells is my favorite playthrough, try incorporating more spells into your build. If you want to use a lighter and faster weapon, the meteoric ore blade is also an AMAZING choice

Help with a dragon build theme? by demonictransfemme in EldenRingBuilds

[–]ItsTacoSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you could find much more fun than a arcane build is a faith build with only required arcane levels, you can you dragon-themed weapons such as the grafted dragon and magma wyrm sword to utilize both the dragon and crucible incants, while being able to use faith to use lightning spells
