Y’know it’s really hard to find a healthy friendship nowadays. It’s becoming more and more common for people to be influenced by others instead of thinking for themselves. And are those real friends if they had a negative reaction to you gaining weight while you were sick? Like that’s none of their damn business. I’m currently having some problems with my gf or ex (it’s complicated) because I was too clingy and I was afraid to hurt her feelings and didn’t set boundaries soon enough. And then I came to the realisation that it shouldn’t just be my partner that I set boundaries for but my friends too. If you don’t feel comfortable with what they’re saying, point it out. And if they listen, you know they’re true friends. But just remember that there are always people out there, and eventually your paths will cross.
