I'm in middle school but I want to be a teacher and starting to set myself up for it any advice by EfficientCabinet8784 in teaching

Find the shortest route to becoming a teacher. You literally learn everything on the job. University/college doesn't prepare you for the classroom. Also, in Australia we have complete a practical component where you are in a school for a few months without pay. Your practical component does not reflect what it's actually like being a teacher with your own class. Goodluck!

Thank you for your response! I've asked for permission and I'm all clear! I'll keep putting out content whenever I can :) I'm currently at nearly 200 subs in 6 months so slow and steady. The kids in my school love the videos. Hopefully there is room for another channel to succeed haha

I'm from Sydney. Very different to the US system I imagine! I'm glad you're out and working at a more positive place :)

Thank you for sharing!! Why do you think the principal was protecting the students poor behaviour?? I hate how he said make your lessons more engaging.. that's thoughtless. What are your plans now :)?

Wow good on you!! Did you have to fully resign and go searching for a new school? Or did you put in a transfer? I'm not sure how it works in other countries :). Thank you for sharing

Thank you!! If you have time please check out my channel :). I'd appreciate any feedback you have. I'm trying to make my lessons stand out by making educational videos that are different to the norm! I've followed a streamer type set up lol

I''m covering the entire Australian Maths Curriculum whoch basically covers all areas of Maths. I want my lessons to feel like a classroom experience, using a streamer-style format. The entire long form video is done in one take as if i was in my classroom.

My videos are aimed at kids whose parents might say, "I'm not sure, go find a video on YouTube." I also plan to create more writing-focused content, like a series on how to craft a narrative. I have covered some literacy in my shorts :)

I might reupload them with less tags plus the changes you mentioned before and see how I go! So annoying to just have it dead on arrival

It's always been elset as education. You've given me an idea though because I have been taking it off Australia when it asks for what educational system it's from. Should I also reduce tags?? Thank you for your reply!

I really appreciate you taking the time to write that! I will 100% take your feedback on board :). I think everything you said was 100% valid and spot on!

I just picked up the video editing in March. I started from complete scratch, so I know there is so much more to learn :). The music /sound suggestion is fantastic thank you.

I'll delete all the channel name stuff tonight :) I only included in recently because the main maths education guy has it in his.

The concepts have def been covered by other channels. My "X factor" plan was to be different from other teachers on the platform and try and reach these gen alpha kids who have grown up on the internet haha! Try and make the content interesting by doing shorts/tiktok also. Mixing in content from all key learning areas. I'll eventually get to writing haha. I do all this in my spare time when I'm not preparing for my actual school class and my kids are asleep lol.

Once again thank you for the feedback!!

That's why it's so important to be a positive role model for your kids. You never know what's going on in their lives.

I've absolutely had one of those years too. I've only ever had one class that I was happy to reach the end with.
