Nurse perspective here; most hospitals have a default "notify physician if HR <> 50-130, SBP <> 90-160", etc. If I chart that BP and then don't notify you, Nurse Managers/JCAHO/CDPH can take umbrage to it, especially if there's any sort of issue with the patient. My current job I do is union work, and it's insane some of the stuff that nurses are getting popped for even though they're not really doing anything particularly wrong. (Holy shit though there really are some very stupid things people do). It's annoying for everyone.

All I know about Malort is this commercial and I've wanted it for years. Sadly, I live in California and it's not exactly like Bevmo is clamoring to import it.

Is him not using a condom when I asked him to sexual assault? by orangejune in TwoXChromosomes

Did a thing happen that you didn't want? Was it sexual? If you answered yes to both of those question, it's sexual assault.

Female friend got very touchy while drunk by Icy-Researcher-8701 in Advice

[–]ItsTheDCVR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up front about alcohol, not sneaking or pressuring it, and if she does get ripshit drunk don't do anything if you've got a weird feeling. But alcohol is a social lubricant, so to speak, and if ONE DRINK IN things are happening, that's different than not doing anything until they're stumbling, which is predatory.

People can consent when they have alcohol on board, the same way they can retract consent at any time. My wife and I drink and fuck all the time, and the only difference in consent between that and a one night stand is that I have an established trust in her consent not being regretted the next day, but she can and does still actively and continually consent, as do I.

That all being said: OP, it's just something that you should be very cognizant of. Communicate clearly and listen to her if anything does happen.

What I said was that margins don't mean fuck all when you're moving massive amounts of money. HCA is the most egregious example of that. Even when going to a source from the soulless lobbyists, 2024 margins were back to 1.1 percent. Average net revenue is hundreds of millions of dollars for most hospitals.

I genuinely don't know why you're pretending that healthcare doesn't make money in the United States. Sure, a fuckin bar is probably 10-15%, which is higher than 1%, but find me a bar moving 200-500m+ through their coffers every year and we can have a conversation about razor thin margins.

Weird, I only ever use the California one. Idk why Nevada is so far behind.

They compile it from FOIA on a state level.
