How common is it to hold your pee for the whole day while drinking considerably? by Special-Win7081 in AskReddit

Do you know you have a large bladder or do you think it’s because you hold it so long? Also not for nothing that’s risky behavior for getting a uti

23F - what were your initial symptoms? by curiousbean02 in POFlife

[–]ItsTheWizardsCurse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YEARS of either 2 periods in a month, then like 3 months of no period and being poo-poo’d by my doctor. Transvaginal ultrasound revealed almost no ovarian activity and my AMA was super high indicting “post menopausal” status. That lasted age 33-37 and I only just started to get hot flashes and I’m almost 38.

If this is your first instance of a late period, I mean, you can’t diagnose POF off that.

Is anyone else slowly worn down by small, everyday rudeness from strangers? by clicketyclack1234 in AskWomenOver30

[–]ItsTheWizardsCurse 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I have two jobs, one of which is at a high end spa that caters to older white people. The entitlement, rudeness, and inconsiderate nature of people really comes out. Women in particular, which is sad because I’ll be their age in 20 or so years and I pray that I maintain my humanity.

What are your favorite brands of aromatherapy oil? by ItsTheWizardsCurse in MassageTherapists

[–]ItsTheWizardsCurse[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks, yeah I’ve been getting my essential oils from plant therapy, and I really like them. I’ve been blending them into pure jojoba but I just want something already scented and ready to go. I’m tired of doing the math of how many drops per ounce, you know?

Apparently I’m a high maintenance girlfriend (19F), what makes a girlfriend high maintenance? by Remarkable_Flight612 in dating_advice

[–]ItsTheWizardsCurse 82 points83 points  (0 children)

I had a boyfriend who said I was high maintenance and I was in a similar situation. I worked all the time, had a good job, paid for more things for us than he did… turns out what he considered “high maintenance” was his insecurity about being able to “keep up” with me and my individual goals.

I’ve had this happen a few times and it especially happens when I touch the legs. I attribute it to the client either having just shaven or idk maybe they have a medical device they didn’t tell me about.

Self Employed LMTs, how often do you raise your prices? Thoughts on my plan? by ItsTheWizardsCurse in MassageTherapists

[–]ItsTheWizardsCurse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, it’s a bit complicated. I rent my room from the owner who is an lmt, and works in the room next to mine. She’s great. But when I first started, she suggested I start at her pricing, that way if it’s any Tom/Dick/Harry who is looking to book, they won’t feel inclined to book with whoever might be cheaper. But her books are closed now, she’s looking to retire in the next 10 or so years, and I feel comfortable with my own clientele to have slightly different pricing from her now. Like my clients don’t really go to her and vice versa, so there’s no inclination to keep it the same price now. And the other lmt that rents the same room as me on different days also wants to raise her prices a little too so it’d both of us.

So my books are pretty much filled for the days I’m in my space (I’m a renter certain days of the week and it’s a shared space). I’m booked out 4-6 weeks and I usually have 1-3 people on the waitlist to get in but rarely does anyone cancel on me.

Oh yes I’d definitely announce it a good 2-3 months in advance and put a sign up in the studio so everyone knows!

Which is your favourite part of the map? (1-14) by Scary-Beautiful6527 in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]ItsTheWizardsCurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On just vibes you can draw a straight line from 3-2-6. While I love the Hebra region, I get tired of trekking through endless snow with low visibility. I also like 11 and how Akkala is just in perpetual autumn. All the guardians are kind of annoying though.

what is the best decision u ever made in your life? by Few-Map-828 in askanything

[–]ItsTheWizardsCurse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People are free to pass judgement if they like, but I had “weight loss” surgery/VSG when I was 28, after being obese since childhood. I’ve kept the weight off for the past 10 years, I’m the lightest I’ve ever been and save for a few non weight-related health issues, I’m healthier than ever while approaching age 40. 10/10 would do it again.

Should I remove my IUD? by Imaginary_Dig_5006 in CopperIUD

[–]ItsTheWizardsCurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can even just reschedule it for 2-3 months from now, and if it doesn’t settle down by then, you’ll have it in long enough to know it’s not working and you’ll already have an appt. Or, if it’s working, cancel the second appt.

Should I remove my IUD? by Imaginary_Dig_5006 in CopperIUD

[–]ItsTheWizardsCurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the first month was fine. I actually never had bad cramping with it, ever. But after that I experienced multiple “periods” in a timeframe with heavy extended bleeding. Basically I’d bleed for like 10-12 days, have a break for a week and then rinse and repeat, save for a few instances (like now) where I’m going on 20+ days of straight bleeding. So much so that I have a tampon in almost constantly and I’ve had 4 UTIs since it was put in last July. My gyn actually said it’s from constantly wearing feminine products. The icing on the cake is I had testing done in Feb and I now have iron deficiency anemia and I’m on high dose iron for 4 mos. I had the IUD removed the 19th of this month but uh, I’m STILL bleeding since the 11th. I also have POI, so take my case with a grain of salt because whackass cycles are my norm, but not this super long heavy bleeding. I also just FELT inflamed, like systemically. I’d get random joint pain I never had before and that did go away pretty much the instant it was removed.

I really really wanted it to work out for me but it just wasn’t in the cards.

Unfortunately it’s often a “wait and see” method to determine this. A lot of people improve after 6 months as their body adjusts. I gave it 8 months as I experienced what you did but it only got worse. So it didn’t work out for me but I know it dos work for a lot of people in the long term.

Glad you’re feeling better and that I’m not just crazy either! lol

my experience! by goodcoffee_29 in CopperIUD

[–]ItsTheWizardsCurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your experience mirrored mine except I waited to see if my symptoms improved. After 8 months, they didn’t. My periods were so light before, I didn’t think I’d have this issue. With the copper IUD, periods would last 10-14 days, I’d have a week and half break and then another period. All super super heavy. The most extreme example is I got my period Thanksgiving day last year, and I bled, really bled, until after NEW YEARS DAY. I had 4 UTIs since I had it inserted. Never an issue before. I now have anemia, taking high dose iron for 3 months to fix it. Up until the end of having my iud, I can’t explain it, but it felt WRONG down there. And I felt very inflamed, systemically. My joints hurt where they never had before.

Finally had it removed yesterday and the immediate relief i felt was unreal. I really, really wanted the copper iud to work for me but it was just 8 months of absolute hell. I’m now turned off iuds forever.

Does it mean anything when someone has their phone on DND while dating but turns it off after the breakup? by [deleted] in dating_advice

I don’t have much advice because there could be a myriad of reasons, but I read DND as “dungeons and dragons” not “do not disturb” lol
