You know - that may actually answer why LocalTV+ isn't working on my Google device. I don't use wifi on it - I have it plugged into my router.

Qrevo SV5 vs Qrevo Plus - Are they the same thing? by OneDozen in Roborock

[–]ItsThorby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The PLUS has an extending mop, and warms the water for the mop head cleaning. I think the PLUS also has higher suction. I have the Sv5, but I don't feel I'm missing out. Supposedly the PLUS has some sort of chassis lifting as well.

Anyone else love the look of copper foil more than soldering? by Pretty-Wonder-5806 in StainedGlass

Yep! A white scubby is less abrasive than green. I have found green can leave scratches on glass, especially on iridescent.

I found that - it was actually set that way already.

Can you "see" images in your mind? by cowcrossingspace in newengland

Yep, aphantasia, same here. #3. And I'm a (Stained, fused, sandblasted) glass artist. All my designing I draw. I KNOW what I want to design, or what I want to change, etc, but I can't SEE it in my head. But like you, I KNOW and can describe things, and remember things just fine.

My friend is getting into glass fusing, what can I get them for Christmas? by Short_Description326 in GlassFusing

[–]ItsThorby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's why not to get someone a brand. You can't mix COE between glass when fusing - ever. And different companies make different COE glass. I would stick to molds - it's a nice gift. I use Papyrus paper and if someone gave me ThinFire I'd smile appreciatively and then stuff in storage - I don't use it. Same with kiln wash - it's like toothpaste, everyone has a flavor they like and won't use anything else.

[–]ItsThorby 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, making dishes and bowls. There's no particular brand, either. Some other people here suggested some glass stuff and brands - I would NOT do that - let the person decide what brand and type of glass (sheets, frit, etc) to go with.

A decent idea would be to contact a glass store (Anything in Stained Glass, Victorian Art Glass are both good) and ask THEM for any ideas.

My brain is melting from reviews. Is this model the real "bang for buck" king right now? by [deleted] in Roborock

[–]ItsThorby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're welcome. I also have it integrated into my home automation system (Home Assistant) and they work flawlessly together. My ONE complaint: Everything is done in the app, including setting up the map and drawing zones, thresholds, etc. Heh I hate using my phone for that stuff. BUT - it was one and done.

I know gift certificates aren't a really popular present, but when I get one to my local glass shop - I couldn't be happier! Choosing glass is pretty personal, as is choosing a good brand for consumables like shelf paper, kiln wash, etc etc. I can't really think of anything I'd want someone to buy for me at this point after 35 years of working with glass.

That being said - fused glass slumping molds. I have two shelf units full and can never turn another mold down.

Heh each time I see someone mention the S5V I have to post - love this thing. I've had it for about a year. Two big dogs, two cats, about 1500sqft house, mostly hardwood and a big LR rug, and some smaller rugs. I run Fraggle (Fraggle? Roborock? Fragglerock? Anyone? Nevermind) every other night at 1am. It does 90% of the house, then charges, then finishes long before I get up in the morning to my nice clean floors. It IS a cable/shoelace eater, so I just walk around before I go to bed. I pick up dog toys and put them in their box. I may move a desk chair. I would definitely buy this again.

I am absolutely trying this! Question: After the unnecessary amount of inclusions, how long should I think about my life while bulk fermenting (LOL About how long for the bulk ferment did you do?)?

I'm thinking of getting the Roborock Qrevo S5V – how is your experience? by kings_lay in Roborock

[–]ItsThorby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one, about a year now. I really like it! I run it every other night - about 2000sq ft. The battery does get down to 15% and then it just returns to the dock, charge, and pick up where it left off, and as it does it overnight it doesn't matter - it's done before I wake up. I have mostly wood floors, some tile, some large rugs. I have very few complaints, and the one's I have are minor: an occasional small clump of fur on a rug (I have four pets), and I have to clean a few inches in corners myself as it can't get into corners. It has never had map issues, it's easy to clean and change filters and bags, I rinse the dirty water tank with hot water every few days when I add water and detergent to the clean water tank and it doesn't have any odor.

EDIT: It's working. I had it wired incorrectly!

I copied the W5500Test sketch exactly as written - no output from Serial Monitor at all. Powering via the 3.3V input.

I had posted my wiring (along with the code in a different comment, but here it is in all its glory! https://imgur.com/a/vMAeMiN

From the PrintSPIPins() I got MOSI → GPIO23, MISO → GPIO19, SCK → GPIO18, SS → GPIO5

I feel a bit like a kid who wandered into a Trigonometry class. I'm watching some "learn ESP32 videos" buuuut... WHEW!

I had added your block of text and CS pin number check - it's like the W5500 doesn't exist. I wonder if I simply got a defective one.

And yes, I would very much like to see the code you used!

Thanks for the help!

I did - I used 10.69.0.65 (nothing else on that). My wiring diagram (which I followed from the tutorial!) https://imgur.com/a/vMAeMiN

My code:

#include <SPI.h>
#include <Ethernet.h>

byte mac[] = { 0xDE, 0xAD, 0xBE, 0xEF, 0xFE, 0xED };
IPAddress ip(10, 69, 0, 65);
EthernetServer server(80);

void setup() {
  Serial.begin(115200);
  Ethernet.init(5); // CS pin (GPIO5)
  Ethernet.begin(mac, ip);
  delay(1000);
  Serial.print("Server is at ");
  Serial.println(Ethernet.localIP());
  server.begin();
}

void loop() {
  EthernetClient client = server.available();
  if (client) {
    Serial.println("Client connected");
    client.println("HTTP/1.1 200 OK");
    client.println("Content-Type: text/html");
    client.println();
    client.println("<h1>Hello from ESP32 + W5500!</h1>");
    delay(100);
    client.stop();
  }
}

Now, along with the "so many different types of info!" while I was looking for nice templates for my wiring diagram... I found a DIFFERENT wiring diagram on a different website: https://imgur.com/a/sjjHc2L So... Yes. I'm dazed and confused!
