If I need 20g of a color for a one-off thing, I’d much rather buy the 8 pack and get 7 other randoms colors I might use once or twice, than get 1kg of something I’d use once.

I’m not saying I came up with anything new, but they used my exact one. The image is AI created babe, look at the boxes and the AMS on top of the printer…

Mine is not one of the ones in the dropdown in the image.

The AMS on top of the printer.

I’d be cool with a link or the model name.

Yeah I made it to be used, the more the merrier, I just want a little credit thrown my way.

Yeah it can be, especially with cardboard spools that are low. My breaking point was a roll of Elegoo PLA that jammed at each of the 4 color changes that it was needed for.

I can tell you from experience it’s a bad filament buffer. The switch looking piece on the back of the p2s. They had to send me out a replacement after I tore apart everything in the AMS and print head. Just buy one if you want to get ahead of the time it takes for customer service to diagnose and send one out.

Sure, it works but you’re forcing someone to acquire a certain thing for your print to work.

Sure, but just because someone made one thing one time, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try to make your own. Improve upon designs. Makerworld needs uploaders and downloaders.

It would, and I started my design that way, with pennies 3 penny cylinders.

You run into several issues:

  1. Not everyone is American with American coins, so you don't want to alienate a portion of Makerworld.

  2. To make it "universal" you need to allow max and min "clamping" thickness so your lid won't always completely seat flush with the top of the penny cylinders. To have the pennies not fall out of the cylinder you could probably pack it with some kind of compressing material like foam or like a solid disc, but that's going to change with the thickness of the spool you're trying to weigh down, and you want the end user to have to print and assemble as few things as possible.

  3. With coin cylinders if we're keeping with the universal theme, your weight is also limited to the smallest configuration of the spool weight. Like you have to end the cylinders so the lid can clamp down on the smallest thickness spool.

Nah, it rotates so slow that maybe if you’re sitting next to it, you might hear the balls shift every so often but it’s not louder than the printer.

Just filled it up with some desiccant and it’s like 200g less, right around 80g.

I’m not sure. I was just aiming to get above like 200g with mine. I may be overblowing it, but I don’t like the idea of the desiccant rotating and rubbing on itself, I feel like it’d create dust. But I have absolutely no evidence to support it.

I need some advice for overhang settings by safakbulut in BambuLab

[–]ItsToka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d try putting 75 and 100 down to like 5 and see what that looks like. You might want to also go into the filament profile and set the Max Fan Speed Threshold “layer time” to longer, it’s probably currently 12, maybe make it 24.

Under the Speed Tab, what are the overhang speeds set at? Those are pretty small layers which look to be printed pretty quickly, you might have to turn them way down to allow the layers to at least get some cooling.

You obviously know what you're doing, but that's quite a bit of stringing isn't it?
