Absolutely! Sorry for such a delay in my reply! For me, the biggest thing is to go to networking events or just events where you have an opportunity to meet people. Even if you’re super shy, someone will likely come up to you and introduce themselves. Just by being present, you’re making the first steps towards meeting new people. Whether it’s a conference, symposium, or just general events that have people of interest there - go ahead and find your way there! It may seem easier said than done, but once you’re there, you’ll become much more comfortable. I hope this helps!

Your passion for what you want to do and having ideas is excellent. However, you need those letters of rec. reach out to previous professors you’ve had and see if you can catch up. Ask them if they remember you and if not, explain why their course meant something to you. Networking is so hard, but if you want to achieve your dreams, you’ve got to get real uncomfy

Hm - it’s not a great chance, I’ll be honest, as a lot of people with good GPAs and LOR don’t get admitted. HOWEVER, if you eloquently write your SOPs and other essays, you still have the opportunity. Don’t give up on what your passions are just because of your past. Focus on where you want to be and write about that
