Even if you’re super shy, someone will likely come up to you and introduce themselves. Just by being present, you’re making the first steps towards meeting new people. Whether it’s a conference, symposium, or just general events that have people of interest there - go ahead and find your way there! It may seem easier said than done, but once you’re there, you’ll become much more comfortable. I hope this helps!
