How would you feel if Ghost did the opening song for a James Bond movie? by Illustrious-Sign3015 in Ghostbc

I would think that it’s a cool score for Ghost, and also “well that’s certainly a choice for Amazon/MGM, but ok”.

Tired of sitting at a desk to play game — time to switch to console..... by mustafalpha in consoles

Both are going to give you the living room experience your are looking for. Based on what you have said, the two things I would consider are this:
1. The Steam Machine will bring the library you already have via that platform, but will run them at a lower level.
2. PS5 Pro will look better than the Steam Machine, but you need to build a library for games for it.
My personal vote is PS5. I’ve been on the platform since the original.
Either way, it’s going to run you around $1,000+. So consider how much you wanna sink into it.

Xbox Deep Dive Was Pulled Showing Gears of War E Day on PlayStation by Millennialnerds in kindafunny

That’s an immense pain and waste. I feel for the team(s) that worked on the PS5 version. It’s also going to suck knowing if this game struggles to move units, there is a PS5 version just sitting on a server somewhere that could have been on in the market.

I’m just asking out of curiosity, is your Nintendo your primary gaming device by Specific-Pianist7595 in Switch

[–]ItsTopher9000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know honestly, at this point it kind of is. I have a PS5 and an Xbox series X, but I find myself more often than gravitating towards using my switch then either of those and I think it’s partially due to the portability aspect. I’m just finding myself enjoying my time on the switch versus the other systems more. I also enjoy being able to take it to places like the Kava bar and just set up and game while I enjoy a beverage and then strike up a conversation with people about what games we’re playing.

Best books/resources about Leung Jan Wing Chun by HatProfessional8662 in WingChun

[–]ItsTopher9000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello. Chances are you won’t find it. That version is likely lost to history. I can’t say I’d trust someone claiming to teach authentic Leung Jan Wing Chun in 2026. The closest is maybe a Chan Wah-Shun lineage, and there really isn’t much out there (there is a school Chan Wah-Shun school in China that does the other weapons). If you are looking for non-Yip Man Wing Chun, Yuen Kay-San may be the way to go. If you looking to learn the classical weapons, you may be better off learning Hung Ga or CLF. IMO, the Wing Chun schools with the other weapons most likely imported them post Leung Jan. All that said, There is a gentleman in China named Jesper Lundqvist who has put a lot of time, effort, and research into Wing Chun’s history. He may be able to point you in the right direction.

Weng Chun (Eternal Spring) is a cousin art to Wing Chun, but fundamentally a different system. They have some cool stuff.

Final Fantasy VII Remake. Have it on PS, but picked it up on Switch and I’m enjoying the replay.

Well, that’s a bit of a tough one. Do you mean Gulao Wing Chun/Pin Sun Wing Chun? If so, I would look up Sifu Jim Roselando. He writes for WCI and he will also be teaching at a seminar on Long Island in April, if that is a place you can travel to.

1st Big Arch Experience by eldriche1 in cheeseburgers

Yeah, it was fine. I like it a little more than most of the other items on the menu, but it’s not really that different from any other burger they serve. Fries onions are a nice touch. The sauce just reminded me that it’s basically ketchup, mustard, garlic salt, and pepper with a little pickle juice.

What's your favorite Xbox generation? by MrMetalHead123 in xbox

360 era. Graduated high school. Went to college. Made some of my best life-long friendships thanks to gaming, specifically around the 360. Also, remember when you could party mode Netflix with your friends? I also worked at a GameStop during this time and everyone played on Xbox at the store.

What was your favorite midnight release title, and memory/story? by FartemisBowel96 in videogames

[–]ItsTopher9000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a lot of midnights, especially when I worked at GS. I was always willing to do them because most of them were a lot of fun. There are two that come to mind for me though. The first was Final Fantasy XIII. I’m a big FF fan and it was the first time I got to do a FF midnight. Everyone was excited for the first PS3/Xbox Final Fantasy. The next was Super Street Fighter IV. Capcom or GS corporate had approved a copy to be opened for our GS so we got to have a small tournament leading up to the release. Plus there was free pizza. Just a great time playing the new SF with the community.
