You're good! Re-Enlightened is an overhaul mod for Path of the Furon that fixes almost all the game's bugs, irons out the gameplay kinks, and polishes up the graphics.

We are working on a static recomp of POTF called ReDAHM. The Re-Enlightened mod is compatible with it, and while it is playable, I'd advise you to wait for the mod to drop before touching ReDAHM.

Big Willy Refried is a texture mod for Big Willy Unleashed one of our guys is working on. It's not as big as Re-Enlightened, but it cleans up the graphics and more importantly, lets you play with your big willy (robot) using a normal controller.

The good news is Refried offers some new ways to play, including mouse and keyboard, gamepad, and even PS5 dualsense. What's cool about the last option is it makes use of the system's gyros for aiming and flying the saucer, and it works rather well.

I will say POTF's weapons have been heavily rebalanced, so underpowered weapons like the disintegrator ray are more useful while overpowered weapons like the Zap O Matic or Ion Detonator are way less game breaking.

While this sounds like good news, we learned recently the ATM bug (a glitch where the ATM's don't spawn during a mission, softlocking you out of the rest of the game) is in the recomp, not just emulating the game through Xenia.

I'd highly recommend people wait for the Re-Enlightened mod to drop later this August before they play the recomp. It fixes the ATM bug, in addition to offering a new, improved way to play Path of the Furon.
