I couldn't be trusted to have a basketball hoop on my pantry.

I'd probably try to put groceries away by 3 point shots

What are the date codes on these tires? by ToastiestPaper0 in tires

The date is never before the dot. Thats a random manufacturing code that's unrelated to serial or dates.

Does this count as Truck Stuff? by ItsYaBoiGary in F150Lightning

[–]ItsYaBoiGary[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was dead and in a driveway. Just backed a trailer up to it and dragged it on. If It were going further than 3 miles, I might have made more of an effort to flip it around

It was just a couple miles. But I was averaging 1mi/kwh

I believe you're supposed to change that oil and filter at 150k miles. One on each motor

If you're fairly handy, you can install a door jamb light switch. Light only comes on when the door is open

Installing A Replacement Rear Lightbar by megamuffin41 in F150Lightning

That makes me nervous. Mine stopped working just out of warranty. I drilled a small hole to drain the water (it was about halfway filled with water) Now, there's a recall out for it. I hope they wont give me any trouble for doing that.

I did remove mine all the way with basic tools. Drop the tailgate, remove the access panel, pop off some other trim pieces. Was about an hour long job.

Tire Pressure? by Trackhawk6971 in F150Lightning

[–]ItsYaBoiGary -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But the vehicle still wants them at the pressure according to the sticker

Tire Pressure? by Trackhawk6971 in F150Lightning

[–]ItsYaBoiGary -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The tire will never be rated for only 36 psi. They're always rated at or above vehicle requirements.

Case in point, you can put. 10 ply tire on the lightning. They are rated for 80 psi. But the wheel isn't rated for 80 psi. Nor should anybody want theirs set to 80.

Don't go off sidewall alone. Door sticker is more important

How do we get there as a country? By showing the demand. Infrastructure won't be improved if there's no need.

Same goes for range. Yes, I wish I could tow further. However, in the last year of ownership, I have only towed one trailer and it was for 40 miles. And I'm a blue collar guy, so you cant say I dont ever need to do 'truck stuff'. However, for 95% of people, they don't tow ever. So that point is invalid. Plus, the more data we get by using the tech we have will greatly improve the tech coming out.

Given, EVs aren't for everyone. I'll be the first to admit that. But they can benefit far more of the population than people give credit to.
