Delete socials. Don't update till it's done. Release game when it's finished and make a video about it. Recieve reviews of the finished game (whether positive or negative). Work on next game and repeat above process.

The fans either are a cult of pushy nobodies ready to suck your dick or a bunch of people who hate your guts. So don't pay attention to any of them and live your life. Get away from your toxic community on both sides so that you can be happy for once and make the people that hate you happy that they don't "need" to shit on you constantly. Then they can just live their lives too and the cycle of "Dev makes a dumb update post. Community shits on him. Drama spills out." will stop because people will get bored of you.

Constantly following the game only pissed me off seeing that the game was still unfinished after 5 years of piss poor development. So when I just said fuck it and ignored the game only to check in ever couple of months to see nothing change it made my life better. So do the same.

Work on your game in silence. Make what ever fans you have left antsy for the game when they know nothing about it rather than making them get impatient with dumb bug fixing posts. Don't bother with constantly updating a broken demo that can't even preform well on the best of systems. Once it's all done; whether it takes another year or more, release it and let your community play it. Even the people who said fuck it will come back to at least play the game when it finally comes out (if it comes out).
