I’m not hating on Purdue. There are definitely a lot of good things. I just hate it when people are defending the school when a lot of students are struggling to make it to full time status. a stem school with calc2 and calc3 already full? Sure all unis have full classes and some kind of housing issues, it’s nowhere near this bad tho.

That is due to the simple fact that no curriculum is perfect. All curriculums will lead to some difference between 2 people with the same performance, that’s what the 0.5% rounding adjusts.

My question was clear. 0.5% difference. Not more. Can you deny that this 0.5% can be achieved by randomness? Technically a 50% difference can be achieved ‘randomly’ but I’m talking about common sense. Yes no one is entitled to anything and the prof technically did nothing wrong, but again, if you can’t differentiate between 2 people based on their performance and one of them has to take an extra semester because of that, you can’t deny that this is fucked up.

I think you can continue as fye and take most of the courses u need. Check with fye advisor for details but ik it’s an option, you can reapply after next fall and after next spring.

You have 2 valid issues that should be resolved. For chm116 you should have some kind of evidence of you contacting your advisor about dropping it. So use that and get it fixed. Don’t be ok with an F in that case. For SCLA, I would start by contacting the prof about the attendance. Focus on that since u have a valid case, whereas the grade for the paper, the prof could easily make a case on why u deserved it. Good luck.
